Congrats, I have faith you'll meet your goal. my goal is to lose a total of 92lbs by my 7/22/09. My one yaer mark. I to need to pick up the workouts. I just had a breast aug. and can't workout for 6 wks, so I guess it will slow down my loss for a while but I'll just step it up when I can resume.

I am at 110 pounds... I feel so fortunate to have done this well so far. Am at a point where the inevitable inner 'stuff' associated with my lifetime of weight and weight issues has started coming up. Needless to say am on a stubborn plateau, but not gaining, so I am thankful for having learned enough to not be gaining in this mentally challenging period of my journey. Has anyone else gotten to this place and if so, any words of encouragement or advice?

Thanks, and congratulations are in order to all!! Way to go everyone!

How many fills have you all had? I was banded July 23,08 and I've gained 5 pounds. I've had 3 fills and I can still eat anything. I have no restriction at all. I have another fill scheduled April 22nd. I'm glad all of you have done well. I hope you all can give me some advice. I'm so discouraged.

I am so sorry lisa. What are you eating? I find that journaling my food intake is the only thing that keeps me eating properly. When my weightloss stalled I saw that it stopped after I began eating Special K Cereal.

After you get your fill, also journal. When you first get restriction, you will need to keep track of the types of foods you are eating. You will probably notice that eating meats are a little more difficult. Just make sure you chew it really well and take smaller bites. Good luck with the fill.

Congrats to you both. Amazing and inspiring.

Lisa, do you mean that you've not lost any weight since surgery last July?

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
