What does everyone do for a living?

I noticed a lot of you girl and guys are on during morning hours and less at night so im thinkin you all are at work. Im a stay at home mom and i redeliver newspapers to people who did not get them on the weekends...

I dont work right now as much because i have gotten to a point where i feel almost embarrassed to get a job. I have a hard time working in an office because i dont have the right clothing to wear and anything that looks office appropriate in my size is like 35 years older than me..;):D Well the benefits of seeing my daughter grow up right now are far greater than an office job so for now its ok, but i can be a sit on my azz mom forever....its time to get moving and get my career goin....

So anyway just curious what you all do for a living and basically just tryin to get a feel for you all.

p.s. i dont think ive ever used "you all" in a post so many times!!

I am a business owner, I sell computerized sewing machines, I work with my husbend and our 7 month old child. We sell alll sewing machines, from monogramming to straight stitching!

:)Good for you - Surgery was unbelievably easy - I was up and about in three hours - and went shopping the next day - I had mine done on a Thursday and was back to work on Monday. Yes, I did take pain medication but not as much as I thought I'd need. My first "meal" was mashed potatoes on Christmas. Wonderful. The weight comes off slowly but it does come off. I'm very impatient with that but also need to exercise more. I just want you to know the best is to come and encourage you to continue your dream.

I love reading about everyone's different jobs! I am an office manager for a dermatologist here in the Dallas-Ft Worth area during the day. At night I help my disabled mom with anything she wants. I also live with her so it makes it easier. Divorced for six years now from an abusive husband and looking for Mr. Right again. Took me five years to realize it wasn't me that screwed the marriage up, it was him. Unfortunately, he found someone to take my place right after I left....3 weeks to be exact. Poor Barb (new wife)!!

I am a fourth grade teacher - soon to be teaching fifth! - in Connecticut! Can't wait for summer - last day is June 17 for kids, June 21 for teachers....can't wait!

Hi everyone. I am new too...getting banded on June 29 with Dr. Ortiz. I am a special education teacher/supervisor in an elementary school on Long Island, NY. Nice to meet you all!!

During the day I am a property developer and manger, evening I am a crisis intervention specialist with last resort teens and most important of all I am a single mom to my four kids

I manage a Cardiology group in Austin. I have 9 Dr.'s and 25 employees - not including our nuclear and CT department. Way too busy and way too stressed. I am divorced (was married for 23 yrs and took a long time to leave a harmful situation), lost my Mother and son within three months of each other and now live with my daughter and family - their idea - but it turned out to be a good one. Needed to have positive reinforcement and something to look forward to and decided to explore banding - haven't lost as much as I need to and still use food as a crutch. BUT - I continue to try....

I am the Executive Director of a non-profit agency. Our mission is to prevent substance abuse and problem gambling. Part of my job is to train communities around New York State in the "Communities that Care" planning process. This helps communities develop a long-term strategic plan for address teen issues such as substance abuse, teen pregnancy, school drop out and violence.

I work to support my music habit... lol. I am a professional musician, singer/keyboardist with a contemporary gospel band. We are the worship team for our church and travel to minister wherever we're called!

Oh... I'm also a doctoral student :(

Hugs,

I work in the import/export/shipping/transport industry, I spend my days allocating deliveries and wharf work to our fleet. Very good brain stimulation, trying to run the trucks to their fullest capacity, and best for revenue. Sure keeps me busy!

I teach English in an alternative high school; this is the kind of school that offers a diploma program, not a discipline alternative school. I LOVE my work, and the kids that make it so great! I will begin my 18th year of teaching in the fall, well, August, actually. I am betting on my kids to be my ultimate supporters.:)

I am married and have a 7 year old daughter who will start 3rd grade next fall. My family is totally behind me on this, too!

I am a retired VP with a major brokerage firm on Wall Street. I still dabble in the stockmarket, via on-line trading.

What a wonderful diverse group of people all supporting each other in this "Wonderous Journey to A New Life of Good Health"
