What does everyone do for a living?

I noticed a lot of you girl and guys are on during morning hours and less at night so im thinkin you all are at work. Im a stay at home mom and i redeliver newspapers to people who did not get them on the weekends...

I dont work right now as much because i have gotten to a point where i feel almost embarrassed to get a job. I have a hard time working in an office because i dont have the right clothing to wear and anything that looks office appropriate in my size is like 35 years older than me..;):D Well the benefits of seeing my daughter grow up right now are far greater than an office job so for now its ok, but i can be a sit on my azz mom forever....its time to get moving and get my career goin....

So anyway just curious what you all do for a living and basically just tryin to get a feel for you all.

p.s. i dont think ive ever used "you all" in a post so many times!!

I am the Supervisor of the Animal Control Division for the city that I live in. I have worked here for 18 plus years and love it.... Well, honestly, I LOVE working with animals, but I could do without the people sometimes. We are treated really badly alot.

We handle every kind of critter that you can imagine. Never a dull moment.

I will be eligable for retirement here when I am 38 years old, so I am considering nursing or radiology for my next phase of life..... we will see.

I am also a single momma to 4 kids....18, 13, 8 and 3. I have 3 boys and a tomboy. I am the luckiest person I know.

I write book summaries for a library distribution company. I've been doing it for 8 years, and have been lucky enough to work at home for the last 6. Which gives me plenty of time for my second job, Mommy! I have a 6 year old dd and a 3 year old son. My son has lots of health and developmental issues, so we're constantly running to doctors appointments, therapy sessions, etc. I'm so glad I work at home, otherwise I would have had to quit my job because of his issues and needs. I'm hoping to keep working at home till he's in kindergarten in a couple years, then I'll head back into the office if they want me to.

My dh does tech support for the same company I work for. Makes my job easy because he just brings home my books everyday for me! :)

Iam a hairdresser specializing in hair loss issues for men and women. I have worked for 37 years and am going to retire from this profession on June 29th. Gonna travel for a while and then decide what is next. My husband is disabled. Work injury and he can no longer work because of cronic pain. He has a spinal injury. He worked at our utility company for 30 years too. I am interested in many things but have not as yet focused in on what my next career will be. Flunky maybe??? The ladies I work with are having an open house for me and my clients to celebrate my 37 years. Some of the clients have been with me most of those years.

Will miss them very much. Someone here said just a hairdresser and I want to say I am very proud to have been a hairdresser all these years. I look at it as this, I make people feel better about themselves on a daily bases. What perfession could be better than that!!! Love your hair dressers, They have been under apprietiated for years. I think it is really cool that my clients have become my friends and they PAY me to come and visit. Life is good!!

I'm a Registered Nurse and director of a hospice. I love my job and love hospice and at the end of every day I know I have helped at least 1 person be more comfortable but Bug your job sounds wonderful. How do you get to do that? Katt

I currently work as a Database Analyst on a government contract in San Antonio, but my company is based in Herndon, Virginia.

It's great to see someone from St Louis! My friend and I have an appointment with Dr Wagner next week and would love your feedback. We are currently scheduled for sugery July 6th at Des Peres with Dr Minkin. We are getting very nervous due to the fact that they seem quite disorganized.

We're ready to jump ship and would like your imput on Dr Wagner. Sarah seems totally on the ball.

Thanks so much,

Stefani and Colleen
