Been the same weight for

Recommended Posts

many months now. I have changed my ticker to motivate myself!! !!:smile2: I have gotten lazy regarding band rules.

Hopefully I can re-engerize myself by seeing it down in print!

Maybe it will help someone else get back on the 'band-wagaon' again.

Girl - I've got to get back on the band-wagon too! I fell off a couple of weeks ago and just haven't been able to get myself motivated. I'm getting my first official fill tomorrow - so I'm hoping that'll help get me refocused. Good luck and thanks for the push - I needed it!

Hey I am right there with you also. I had my band on 10/26/07 and lost 45 lbs, was soooo excited. I was getting in clothes that I had not worn in forever. WELL I got very sick with broncitis, flu and strep..which is NOT fun with the band. I had to get all my fill taken, my doc thought that I might have done some damage to the band since I was so sick for so long and coughed soo hard. Well it was empty for 2 mths, in that 2 mths I gained 15 lbs. I got a fill on 3/24 and have lost 3 lbs. I have sooooooo miserable with myself and so ashamed. I NEVER thought I would have been the one who "fails" with the lap-band. I am disgusted with myself. I was getting some many people telling my, wow you look great. Now my own husband tells me honey your face is fat again and it looks like you have gained all you weight back. Well that just makes it worse and I just feel like giving up. I am getting a fill tomorrow and hope that I can get turned around for the good. I hate myself right now and the disappoinment in my parents face(they paid for it--in cash) is killing me.

Brandy:

16 is my mini goal. Or shall I say my ULTIMATE goal. I have lost 70 lbs -- regained about 5lbs. So right now I am the proud dis-owner of 65 mean pounds!!!!!!!!!1

I am so grateful of my band. I was banded in Feb.2007

Just see myself slipping and dont want too!!

Skinny:

Dont be so disappointed in yourself........ it wasn't your fault that you got sick.

And as far as I'm concerned your hubby is acting like a "butt", :biggrin2:. Some men, (including mine) think their helping and end up saying the most insensitive things.

You can do it!!

Me too!!

Come on Skinny, join the journey again & restart with the '30 Rule'

- chew EVERYTHING 30 TIMES

- meal should take 30 minutes to eat

- no drinking 30 minutes before or after meals

Thats how I'm restarting

Best of luck.

Ready to lose

We have too, we've worked too hard to get this far.

I have faith in you

Ready to Lose:

Thanks that is soo what I needed to hear. Men yes can be butts. I like the 30 Rule. That is great. Well I am ready to start feeling good about myself agian. I just wish that people who were not banded could undestand that it is still a battle everyday and just because you have the band it does not all go away.

Don"t hate yourself. You have not failed...just hit a bump in the road. Just restart and get going. It took a long time to get to the high weight we once were and it takes time to lose it. you can do this. Good luck!!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
