Jazzy Junes First Fill Line up

Recommended Posts

Jules, it's time to give your nutritionist a call. We paid for it, might as well get help when we need it. Maybe they'll have a day by day plan that is easy to follow. If you had a hiatal hernia repaired, you might have plenty of internal swelling still that retains Fluid.

I came home 7+ (I didn't weigh for 2 days) pounds heavier. It was from IV fluids and general swelling. I've only lost 4 from surgery day. Dr Ortiz said walking is okay, but not to hit the gym until after three weeks are over. We're all supposed to let our ab muscles heal from being cut and the port being stitched into it.

Long2b...When you're in the 14 range, you won't even think twice about a tankini. They don't ride up. It's a beautiful thing :biggrin2:

Add me to the list of people are READY for a fill. Unfortunately, my Dr. is very conservative. I was banded on 6/5 and won't have my first fill until 7/23! I am walking the treadmill everyday; have not been cleared for anything else yet. But trying to keep on a losing track so I don't get depressed. I really neeed the fill; it's all will power at this point.

It's really good to hear from all of you and to know I am not alone. Everyone is in my thoughts - when it's tough going, I think about everyone who is going throught the same struggle!

My next follow up is July 10th and I am pretty sure I'm getting my first fill. I would hope so considering I am def. hungry a lot more and think I can eat more than I should (between 3/4c and 1+c) per meal. I'm def. ready to crank this puppy up a bit!

My doctor waits 8 weeks to do a fill. My appetite is slowly returning, but I have to remember not to fall into the same traps that I used to...have to remember that this is a mental thing for me as well.

My 1st fill date is August 7th.

I changed our smiley faces since most of us are agreeing that the hunger is coming back and a thumbs up for that is just NOT approptiate :)

I was banded June 4th and go for my first fill on July 15th. I don't really feel like I need a fill yet but maybe that will change between now and then.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
