I would never get implants. My breasts are small and I prefer them this way. I like the European look in clothing styles, I think that it is more elegant, and those women are smaller breasted. Women look more petite, more delicate, more chic with small breasts. Also smaller breasts are easier on the back and shoulders. I have a friend who had hers reduced and loves being smaller.

Hi Green,

To each her own, I guess...I've never been accused of being petite or delicate :crying: so being busty doesn't bother me...

As to being more "chic" with a smaller bustline, on that one I'll have to respectfully disagree...I think that a woman's body size (or any part thereof) does not have to be the determining factor of her 'chicness'. As a trained Image Consultant, I have helped many women overcome societal prejudice about their size and the subsequent issues it raises with women's self-esteem. Sometimes I feel like an unpaid therapist...

Though I would never wish ill on anyone, some of the women I've met and the stories they have told me of body intolerance among other WOMEN makes me particularly sensitive to assumptions and generalizations and the negative effects they can have.

I've not had ANY problems with my back or shoulders - though I know there are women who have had issues because of a heavy bustline (I believe Dolly Parton had her implants reduced in size because of this). I preferred to build my musculature in the gym and then I didn't have to worry about how big my breasts were. I know that's not necessarily the answer for everyone, but it was (and continues to be) for me.

I promised myself that when I got this surgery and lost the weight that I would not forget what it was like to be heavy...or to be full-busted and have to be subject to random comments from perfect strangers (which I've endured since age 16) about "what size bra you wear"...

I'm sure you didn't mean any harm...but I guess you touched a nerve!:D

Ebony, you raise good points which I had never thought of before. Thanks for your reply.

Heather, boob size isn't related to weight. You will see well endowed thin women and you will see small breasted thin women. You will see well endowned large women and you will see small breasted large women. I have seen quite large women who would be a B cup. That's related to genetics. Of course, if you are bigger, then you are going to put on in the boobs as well, but being overweight doesn't automatically mean big boobs.

As for the OP question, yes I will have surgery. I've already lined up 2 procedures I want done. I want to get my teeth fixed and I want to have a bit of a face lift. I'm definitely in favour of the breast lift, as I've been saggy since I was 13. No kids, just extremely rapid enlargement in that area. And If I got too small, I would consider implants. Though, I'd go to a C cup. Anything more is just getting too big again.

Sure...if I needed to. Although I had a reduction done 2 years ago so I guess I had the opposite problem. If I had been flat chested I would have had implants done.

THis thread has been going for ages. I've now shrunk to a C cup at 5ft 10 and I love it. I will ONLY get an implant if I really really have to when I have a lift - which I wont be able to afford for a year or two yet. I dont want big boobs, I prefer smaller ones, I like the way they look and I love the way they dont get in the way of anything.

I've played around with padding up a bra with bust enhancers, and it doesnt really improve the look of my bustline, it just makes me look beefier all over.

and I can run now without having to wear a bra that rivals the Syndey Harbour Bridge as a feat of engineering.

When I lose all of my weight, I know for sure I'll need a breast lift. If it turns out that implants would be necessary, I will definitely get them. My only concern is paying for the surgery. I've had a large chest my entire adult life, so it would seem strange to not have boobs like I've always had.

I would definitely get a lift, maybe a reduction as well.

I have gotta say that now that I am skinny I can wear high fashion stuff and I am really enjoying this. It does look much better with small tits, however. If you want favourable attention from the men, dye your hair blonde; they seem to like this. *wink* And they like lipstick.

Yep, I'm still loving my new smaller boobies. I dont regret the shrinkage one little bit.

But when I search out pics of post bariatric breast lifts, they all look kind of weird and squarish and still have no volume on the top. I want the more rounded look that an implant would give but I definitely dont want the size, I'd like to stay a C cup.

Everything hangs nicely, men dont gawk at them, but its enough to make good cleavage, its the perfect size.

I think I"ll give the huge norgs, lipstick and blonde hair a big miss thanks all the same. I way prfer being dark and interesting.

I had a lift before I even had my band and your right if your breast sag bad(nipples pointing down) most likely you'll need implants. The top will indeed be flat and it looks kinda weird. I'm recoving from a BA now and thats why I got it, To fill out the top. I think it just depends on what you as a person wants to look like.

Well I know I replied in this thread about a year ago, but it's too much hassle to go back and find that comment, so I just have to hope I'm being consistent here. Now that I've lost a fair bit of the weight I want to lose (still a ways off goal though!), I've been starting to focus on surgical ways to complete the transformation.

My skin is fairly saggy in spite of regular gym workouts and I have two major scars (one on my back/side and one on my tummy) that really emphasise the sags and folds, so I'm looking to do a full lower body lift that will cut out the existing scars as part of the process. In addition, my G-H cup boobs have deflated down horribly. With all the loose skin, I have to roll them up to stuff them in a bra and the skin does mean I still fill an E cup but the boobs are basically empty. When I lie down, they fall in on themselves into ugly wrinkled empty sacks :sneaky: Very upsetting.

After all these years of having huge norks, I can't imagine life with little boobs and I don't think it would fit my self-image. I want my pre-fat full and luscious E cups back, not these horrible things on my chest :smile2:

I think I'll end up with a major reconstruction - reduction/lift to get rid of all the sagging skin and then implants to fill what's left back up again! Hmmm... I wonder if they can remove the extra pair of "armpit boobs" that I have too?

Can't wait to find out what's possible at my first visit to the plastic surgeon in June!!

On day 4 of the 2 week liquid pre-op diet. Surgery scheduled for June 11th.
Soooo I am coming to a realization
of something and I'm not sure what to do about it. For years the only thing I've enjoyed is eating. We rarely do anything or go anywhere and if we do it always includes food. Family comes over? Big family dinner! Go camping? Food! Take a short ride or trip? Food! Holiday? Food! Go out of town for a Dr appointment? Food! When we go to a new town we don't look for any attractions, we look for restaurants we haven't been to. Heck, I look forward to getting off work because that means it's almost supper time. Now that I'm drinking these pre-op shakes for breakfast, lunch, and supper I have nothing to look forward to.  And once I have surgery on June 11th it'll be more of the same shakes. Even after pureed stage, soft food stage, and finally regular food stage, it's going to be a drastic change for the rest of my life. I'm giving up the one thing that really brings me joy. Eating. How do you cope with that? What do you do to fill that void? Wow. Now I'm sad.

Life as a big person had limited my life to what I knew I could manage to do each day. That was eat. I hadn't anything else to look forward to. So my eating choices were the best I could dream up. I planned the cooking in managable lots in my head and filled my day with and around it.

Now I have a whole new big, bigger, biggest, best days ever. I am out there with those skinny people doing stuff i could never have dreamt of. Food is now an after thought. It doesn't consume my day. I still enjoy the good home cooked food but I eat smaller portions. I leave food on my plate when I am full. I can no longer hear my mother's voice saying eat it all up, ther are starving children in Africa who would want that!

I still cook for family feasts, I love cooking. I still do holidays but I have changed from the All inclusive drinking and eating everything everyday kind to Self catering accommodation. This gives me the choice of cooking or eating out as I choose. I rarely drink anymore as I usually travel alone now and I feel I need to keep aware of my surroundings.

I don't know at what point my life expanded, was it when I lost 100 pounds? Was it when I left my walking stick at home ? Was it when I said yes to an outing instead of finding an excuse to stay home ? i look back at my last five years and wonder how loosing weight has made such a difference. Be ready to amaze yourself.

BTW, the liquid diet sucks, one more day and you are over the worst. You can do it.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!
