    • Heck yeah! I lost this weight and I'm showing it off!

I voted 'heck yeah' ... but, I doubt I ever would. Old habits die hard, and they had to bribe me to wear a dress at my own wedding (and I was a size 10/12!!!!). So umm, its a toss up.

I voted no. If you are old enough to have a teenage child, I don't think it is appropriate to dress like one. Actually, what I really believe is that after 25 it really just looks slutty and not cute anymore. Just my opinion.:)

i also voted NO ...

i am only 34 and still "feel" very young *BUT*

i also have 3 daughters ( 16 1/2 , 12 1/2 & 11 ) so i dont feel it is appropriate .........i constantly do the bend over/turn around skirt checks with my girls........lol

we all pretty much agree a little above the knee is a good length area for a skirt ( plus it looks really cute with the right boots :frown:

I like minis. Somewhere between mid thigh to just above the knee. Nothing super short. These skirts get any shorter and everybody will know these girls' assets. I don't wear them now but when I lose weight I will. Besides it makes my DH happy. I only wear them out though because I have three kids. Just not practical for everyday wear.

Oh, just above the knee for sure. When I said mutton dressed as lamb before I was thinking crotch length, could pass as a belt type mini.

Voted no. I carry my weight in the lower half more and I can already tell I'm going to have skin problems down there. I don't know, I agree that when you get older mini's just aren't cute anymore. I never even really wore them when I could get away with it. I just never had a taste for them, at any age really or weight. They're not very classy.

Of course I am talking super mini's. Just above the knee is nice, a bit more is ok, but anything more than that and I find tasteless.

But heels? Love em and can't get them high enough!

I vote "heck ya!" I think fingertip-length is perfect. Just enough to show off your legs, but not too short that you have to make sure you are "groomed" well. LOL

I actually tried on a cute mini-dress (size 14!) yesterday and it fit. It was a little shorter than what I am comfortable with because of the saggy skin on my thighs. If the skin sucks up and I feel comfortable, heck yeah, I will wear anything that I possibly can!!

i voted yes-although the skirt would be just touching the knee for me-dont want the slutty look-but a cute jean skirt with flip flops during the summer would be good.

yes, denim skirt and flip flops is more my speed than pencil skirt and stillettos. Just not into that sort of stuff.

Last time I was thin (around 31-32) I wore short skirts but they were the type I'd wear with tights so that if the wind blew I wouldn't show off my knickers to the world. I would also wear with flat shoes so I tended to look more like a kid than someone trying to be sexy in a short skirt. I also wore beachy sort of skirts that came above the knee with sandals in the summertime, but of course never to work.

Even fat I have nice calves, no point in hiding them. I plan to dress about the same when I get the weight off this time. (I just turned 35).

I think it depends on the person and how they look. I might be in denial but I don't think I look particularly matronly and mom-ish. I look a bit like my avatar if she needed to lose 100 pounds so there are some things I can wear and some things I can't. I have a friend who is 40 and looks like Uma Thurman and she can most certainly wear mini-skirts!

I am totally going to wear sexy short skirts. Firstly I am going to make sure the skirt fits my body type, but rest assured I am going to look Hot-damned!

(I am also going to wear tight tops too! I am bringing sexy back!!!

I would. I like my skirts above knee but not too mini. I would do half thigh only. I can't take any credit for my legs but they are actually of normal size. It runs in the family to have nice shapely thin legs no matter how fat you get!!

Well, see. I voted yea, but it really depends on what my legs look like when I loose. I use to wear them and i had great legs. You would more likely see me in a cute little skort with some high heeled strappy sandals on (even at my weight now).

I voted yes too, but I agree, it depends on what my legs look like. I have always had chubby legs even when I wasn't fat. So I'm guessing they will still be that way. That is the hardest place for me to lose. I would look better wearing some low rider jeans with a cute short top showing my belly button because my stomach has never been really big.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
