Dr. Aaron Hoffman - Lap Band done in Buffalo, NY (Dr. Hoffman)

Had my LAP BAND done on 11-26-2007 in Buffalo, NY at Buffalo General Hospital by Dr. Aaron Hoffman. I've have had no problems what-so-ever and the support from Dr. Hoffman has been FANTASTIC. He is the BEST doctor ever! I would recommend anybody from the Buffalo, Rochester, NY area to have Dr. Hoffman perform the BAND! GREAT DOC!

it does feel good...doesnt it

Do your insides still ache? My belly is still sore. Not the wounds but internal soreness. Is that normal?

yes it does...i think it does with the band because of the port. its sore but not exactly pain

I'm not sure which is the port... the biggest wound by the belly button? That isn't where it's sore it's on the left and a bit further down. It isn't pain, but an ache or tender spot. It only hurts when I bend over, or lie wrong.

that sounds like where the port is. as you lose weight you will be able to feel the port. that can be sore for awhile, esp when lying down

hi everyone! i think the date of the picnic will be 9/11 as the 12th is the first bills game and im sure people will want to watch it (i know i will). so ill send out a reminder email later in august. but everyone weigh in on what u think, please

hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful weekend. well im back to work tomorrow.....i weighed my self today and accoring to my scale im down 13 lbs since surgery...of course i am hardly eating a thing...even compared to the band from what i can remember...have a good day

Hi Val,

I live for this weather. Love it. Dread winter.

I lost about the same as you... left hospital at 229 and today am 217. 12 lbs. 21 since starting the program.

I open an envelope of Cream of Wheat and have yet been able to finish more than 1/2 of it. Eating slowly is the hardest part for me.

Tonight we ate out. I felt hubby needed a treat. We went to Seneca Casino, Three sisters and he had one of their delicious Beef on Wecks with fries.... and I ordered mashed potatoes with turkey gravy. The waitress probably thought I didn't like them. I didn't even put a dent in the bowl they gave me.

My problem is I can't feel when to stop and I must have stopped at just the right time because 10 min. later I felt overstuffed.

I envy hubby... he eats and never gains an ounce. I must have bad karma....LOL:ohmy:

you will learn to see the signs when you are full. i used to hiccup or burp and that was my tummy telling me it was full...lol

ohhh dear... no burp or hiccup! Just nothing at all. The only way I can tell is by the amount I've eaten. Just like before the surgery though... when I'm eating something that tastes good... I don't want to stop. Thank goodness most of this food isn't that tasty. LOL

i didnt either at first. just follow the rules...eat slow, that is so important and stop eating when you feel full. eat your protein first then your veggies and you will learn when to stop. it is also very important to get a handle on the head hunger...everyone can tell you that

Uh Oh, those old familiar feelings, the last 2 or 3 days, i have been getting mild heart burn first time since surgery, getting stuck on soft foods and some abdominal pain, God, im so scared, i hope im not slipped again, cause i will lose the band and gain all the weight back, not to mention another surgery. Im laying low and see what happens in the next couple days, gonna go to sam's and get some protien shakes....grooooooooooooan

Oh nooooooooooooooo!!!!!

Maybe you are just eating too fast? That's when I get it. Could your last fill be too strict?

I'll say a little prayer for you.... hope that helps. I'd call the office though.

No, i didn't get a fill last time i was there, havent gotten one in over 2 1/2 months. i slipped back in march and had a revision done and have not had heartburn or gotten stuck at all till the last several days and now the last 2-3 days have been bad and i just had yogurt and vomited. I'm gonna try and do liquids for a few days, thats what they usually tell u to do anyway and see how i do. last time i progressed to not being able to swallow liquids or saliva, if that happens, well then i know......hopefully it will settle down. :bolt:

OMG... I'd be a basket case. I've only had mine 4 wks now and hearing these things can happen scares me too.

Please let us know!!! :bolt:
