To Fill Or Not To Fill!

Recommended Posts

 I have 3.6 CC's in my 4 cc band! I have restriction some of the time and other's not. I do very good in getting in all my liquids. I can eat around 6oz's at a meal.

My problem is I think I need an adjustment but then not sure. I am self pay on $100.00 of the fill. The insurance covers the rest. I don't want to have to go today then turn around and go back two days later. Really do not have the cash right now!

If I can eat 6ozs at a meal is that to much? I haven't been able to move due to spraining BOTH of my ankles over three weeks ago and still getting use to walking on them again. I hear so many differnet things on what size meal you should be able to eat. My dr says 6oz's isn't bad....

Suggestions!

I think you need to evaluate your recent weight loss and your hunger in between meals. ( if you are still in the weight losss phase). How long does a meal that is solid food keep you satisifed. Are you making sure to not drink for one hour after a meal?

How much did you lose since your last fill? Do you think you lost enough stomach fat that your band might have loosened?

6 oz of food depends on THE food. Six ounces of pizza is different than a meal that's 4 oz of meat and two oz of veggies.

Be honest with yourself and I think you'll have the answer to if you need a fill.

Ok so I went to the doctor. He said I had 3.8 CC's in my band. By his records. I asked him to pull it all out and see what's in there and let's go from there. He could only get 2.5CC's out. So he put in .5cc's. Right now he is saying I am at 4.1 in my 4 cc band. I actually had a 3 lb gain instead of lose. I told him about not having any restriction at all. I am just afraid that I do not have a leak. He wasn't to interested in listening to what I have to say. He was to busy trying to rush me out of the office.

Thanks for the reply!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
