Help!! Am I Too Tight?

Recommended Posts

I got a fill yesterday morning, 1cc. Afterwards I could only eat a couple of tiny bites of lunch, then got hiccups that lasted nearly an hour. Tried to drink a couple sips of Water, more hiccups off and on for the rest of the afternoon. For dinner I managed to drink half an adkins shake then had several hours of off and on hiccups and felt miserably full for at least 3 hours. This morning seems a little better, I drank about 8oz of coffee and had no hiccups. About 1 hour later I slowly ate about half a carbwell Protein snack bar. Only got a couple of hiccups, but feel miserably full again. Should I go for an unfill or is this just some swelling that will go down??

What Kelly said. It's a very good idea to not test your fill until it's had a chance to "settle" in. Your body is being stressed and I'm not at all surprised you're having hiccups and so forth if you're eating on the same day.

TAKE IT SLOW!! This may be a new level of restriction for you. I remember my first fill as making me feel something like I did right after surgery. It's impossible to judge the rightness of a fill until at least several days have gone by; as long as you can drink liquids for the first couple of days you wouldn't be considered "too tight" right off the bat.

Good luck, and welcome to the world of restriction!

Might be better to stay on liquids today and introduce solids on Friday. My Doc as well has me on liquids for 48 hrs. Day of and day after.

At this point I can't ever imagine wanting to eat food again! I haven't dared to take my blood pressure meds. No way I can wash it down!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
