Lets try this again...Those who were BANDED the week of December 17th...

Hi Everyone,

Went in for my first fill today. Yeah, it didn't happen. Since I lost 26 lbs and I am not getting hungry I was told that not everyone has to have adjustments all the time. So I go back on March 7th. If I start wanting to eat all the time I can call and go in for an adjustment. So I hope and pray I can keep up the good work.

Betty

How did everything go, Phil?

I thought Sheryl was good. Ten times better than the guy I saw in prep for the surgery. It just suprised me when I met her. I was finished with the doctor and all of a sudden they called me back from the waiting room and told me I was going to meet with her. So I sat with her and she was fine. Then she asked for $25 in cash and basically told me that I will meet with her each month and it is going to be $25 (which isn't a big deal but I really like to have insurance pay for things since my office -- which I own -- pays $20,000 a year for health insurance for me). I think I would have liked to have been told what the regimine was going to be after surgery. But, I think it will be good to meet with her. I wonder if there are going to be any other surprises.

I was at my gym Wednesday night as well.

Hi, I am Heddy a 20 year old from kansas. I was banded on the 18th of december in Kansas city Kansas by the wonderful Dr. Malley! so far I have lost about 15 lbs and got my first fill a week ago. Before my fill I could virtually eat anything I wanted and I have founf that after my fill I have had a hard time keeping food down because it has been hard for me to tell the difference between being full and ust feeling like I want more. I hope I can adjust to it soon. for those of you who have had fills have you had many problems adjusting to your filled band and if so how did you get over it? Thanks and I hope you all are doing GREAT, we are all in this together you know and I cant wait to see all of our progress!

I had my first fill on the 17th of Jan, and I've not had any real restriction kick in yet either. One PB issue, so I learned that I "may" be more restricted in the morning, but other then that, nada. The only difference is I cannot "chug" Water either anymore, it actually hurts - like it's getting backed up from too much too quick. I'd like to see this more with food, to keep me on track, but I go for my 2nd fill on Feb 18th, so maybe that will get me closer to good restriction!

Hi tmarieo7

Just wanted you to know that my doctor told me after surgery you may only sip Water never chug. That is the way its suppose to be from now on. Thats my understanding. I was told you may sip 2 oz. every 15 minutes. Hope this helps.

had my first fill yesterday, 3.5 cc. I do feel the restriction this morning. I am also ready to start dropping weight again. Only 2 pounds in the last two weeks. But that is ok, I am 1/4 of the way there.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
