Can you ladies give me some ideas on what I can make for an employee luncheon for approximately 10 people? It's gotta be something that I can make the night before and we can either A. heat it up in a tiny little microwave, or B. eat it room temperature or cold. We always Celebrate everyones birthday by going out for a lavish lunch but the company is kinda strapped for cash right now so we don't we'd rather just cook something and bring it in. Any ideas?

crustless quiches? (or regular ones... I always make mine crustless now & no one notices the difference!)

grilled chicken ceasar salads?

...that's all I've got right now... will continue to think about it...

Haydee - I have a salad recipe that is ALWAYS huge hit...and you can add roasted chicken or deli turkey chunks to it for an entree. It's got romaine, boston lettuce, roasted pecans, mont. jack cheese, and sliced strawberries with a sweet vinaigrette dressing. I make the dressing with Splenda and nobody ever notices. DELISH!

Haydee- When we do company potlucks, a lot of us make something (anything) in a crockpot at home, transfer it to the company and just plug it back into the wall to reheat. Good way to travel with full meals.

With that in mind, you could make Pasta noodles ahead of time, and bring in some sort of homemade sauce w/meat in it, in the crockpot. Mac&cheese&meat in the crockpot like a pie.. (thinking of things people have done here).. A big hearty Soup if it's getting chilly there (or chili).

And as for side affects of anti-anxiety.. for me, it does kill my libido, but it's not an ongoing thing.. only when you're actually on them.. but you shouldn't take them everyday anyway. So say you had a bad day, take xanax, for the 6ish hours it is affecting you, you won't want sex.

Wanting to eat veggies.. uhm.. never experienced that one. But think that, and maybe it'll happen as a placebo affect :)

I just got back from shopping with the CFO, we had to get new supplies for new employees.. was a headache. I am starving now. FOOOOD.. must.. find.. oo Russell coming down the hall, I bet we going to lunch!!

I've done Soups and chili before in the crock pots and it's always a big hit. But it's not cold enough here right now for that. Terry the salad sounds good. Anything with meat in it they will eat up. I've made meatless salads before and everyone just stares at them like I'm serving them dead insects, LOL. Michelle, how hard are quiches to make? I can serve Terry's salad with a piece of quiche on the side?

Haydee: BBQ beef in a crock pot, cooked overnight and then shredded with BBQ Sauce the day of.

Take the crock pot to work like laura said and then turn it on low with more BBQ sauce

Buns, chips, Salads, whalaaaaa easy guy meal, Tray of Cookies,

Also other crockpot work ideas

Little smokies, or meat balls (in bbq sauce) or even spaghettie sauce.

Nacho Dip...........

Can you tell we use my crock pot for EVERYTHING!

Hell you could even cook a Roast with some potatoes in the dang thing.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
