Wow you are an inspiration. 10 months and 99 pounds! I lost fast at first, but now down to a pound every other week. Dot

WTG Long, congrats. :scared2:

I am at a stand still, no loss for a few weeks. more exercisae though, so will take that into consideration, they say muscle weights more than fat...

I am finding weekends tough... No regular schedule, no food journalling. which is only my own fault. I hope to get back on track once I get new internet connection. Strange toblame things on internet connection, but with dial up, i get such slow response I just give up trying to get a connection.

Off to the gym tonight and will weigh in tomorrow. Gee I hope there is some downward movement on the scale :(

Have a great day everyone..

OK, so here's a cool NSV. I walked into a meeting yesterday at work and I was greeted by someone with, "Well hello, slim". I stopped and looked around and my co-worker was laughing and she said, I'm talking to you. I want to go with you when you buy your bikini this summer slim. OMG, what a high that put me on. I just had to share. Thanks for all of your support and love to me on this site. Now, lets all go and seize the day!

Livn - Congrats. What a great compliments. It's as nice as seeing the scale move!

Thanks for all the kudos and well wishes on hitting my 100 lb mark. Alas, today was not the day, I got 99 1/2!! GRRRR Hubby tells me to round up! But I want to see it on the scale official. It will hit anyday. I'm on the scale every day right now anxious to hit it. Funny, hubby even got up with me at 4am to see if I made it. He's been my biggest supporter. He even goes to my support group meetings with me. And he did my Power 90 workout with me on Sat. and I think he was shocked at how tough it really was and was proud of how much I could do.

I am now 10 days post op and have been feeling really sick. I am nauseous 24/7 and it gets worst when I am walking.

I can no longer sip my Protein and broth. I am barely getting the Water in me. I sip in small slow sips and no longer can get the 20z down.

Going to bed the last two nights was disastrous as i was fighting to keep from vomiting. I gagged but nothing came up. I am scheduled to see my surgeon this Wednesday in the a.m.

Did anyone go through this? If so what did you do?

No, I am not sure why you would feel nausea this far past your surgery. I am anxious to find out what others have to say.

I'm not much help either, but is it possible you have picked up a flu bug? I don't know why you would have nausea at this point after surgery...

Anyone else?

Hello everyone. I've been reading and reading post since I found this site. I was just banded on 1/23 and currently on full liquids. I'm hungry, but so far so good. Lot's of gas, diaherra, but no vomiting thank god. My doc did stress the pre-diet, but I didn't do very well on that. I'm trying extremely hard to follow the post op recommendations. However, I don't think I'm getting enough Water in. My post-op plan says that I should be sipping water more or less throughout the day, but not before or immediately after a meal e.g. broth (ha ha). It's just that the plan is calling for 3-4 ozs of this or that every 30 mins so where do I get the water if every 30 minutes I'm eating something e.g. sf popsicle, broth/creamy Soup, Protein Shake, Jello, pudding etc? What am I doing wrong?

Sharons, my doc's advice was that the rule about drinking before and after eating would not begin until the mushie stage. If all you are ingesting is liquid, it's okay to drink Water in a normal manner. Once you go on mushies, then you limit the water intake during and after eating. She did not have an opinion about drinking right BEFORE a meal - only during and after (60-90 minutes). I'm glad, cause I like my coffee first thing in the morning!

Ok thank you. I knew something wasn't quite right. It's taken me 2 days to drink one whole bottle of Water - I knew that couldn't be right. I don't even like water much, but I'm trying to do whatever I can to keep the hungry's from pulling me down. Besides, I was starting to feel a bit anemic.

Call your surgeon, don't wait. He needs to know about this. (You can get a prescription for your nausea.) Dehydration is dangerous!

You are right on target! I called and a prescription has been called in and a family member is on the way to pick it up as I write this.

I really appreciate your response and it is great knowing we have the support for each other here.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
