Has anyone used Dr. Glasgow in Norwood??

Hi Everyone,

I am new at all this. I am going to the group meeting next week. I am hoping for the best. I called my insurance company today for the criteria, my BMI is under 40. Has anyone else used Dr. Glasgow? What was your experience? How long does the process usually take. I have HMO Blue, I have high blood pressure and insulin resistance so I hope I don't have any problems with the approval.

I am tired of being the chubby girl:(( I have a really hard time losing weight, I never really had any interest in surgery. I did a lot of research on the net, I think lap band will be good for me.

Hi LuLu! Wow! you are doing great!! I am impressed with the office staff and with the Doctors. Congratulations on your great success. I am excited and hope to remain excited after the banding as well!! Thanks for your little note. The more people I talk to, the more reason to move forward with this!!

Hi reallymary:

I went to the Glasgows seminar in March 2007. I met with Dr. Adam Glasgow in April 2007 weighing 324 - yikes! I got my band on 7/26/07. I'm proud to say that this morning I weighed 181 and I'm at my goal size.

Both of the Glasgows are caring, skilled surgeons. They seem to really enjoy their work and have pride in their patient's successes. The office staff is great too.

I love my band.

Best wishes to you with your band journey.

Sue

Congratulations, Sue!! I am very happy for you! And thank you for your reply. Your positive feedback confirms what I have encountered. The Doctors Glasgow seem truly caring and concerned. I am scheduled for 5/26 and I can't wait! Thank you again!

I had lapband surgery by Dr Glasgow as well, they are wonderful at that office, however, I was slightly over 200 lbs, and got approved for surgery,I have not lost, and now have severe nausea, I vomit alot ! I've also lost alot of my hair from not getting enough protein, this surgery was not for me, Ive been a dieter my whole life, my body could survive on 500 calories. If I knew what I knew now, and exhausted from feeling sick all the time, I would never have done it.

My health is worse, although I have lost 20lbs from a local weight loss center reccommeded by my PCP, I learned alot about me : this isnt normal, the lack of exercise and too low calorie diets got me here, the band disrupted my life, caused alot of suffering for my family and I, I pray I can get it removed, and start fresh
