I had my band placed in October 2008 by Dr. Adam Glasgow. Dr. Glasgow and his staff have been unbelieveable since the first day I stepped in the office. They go above and beyond for their patients!! His father is also a surgeon in the office. I have seen both and both are outstanding and caring doctors!!

Hi ReallyMary, This is great!! I had my band in October 2008. Dr.'s Glasgow and Glasgow are great as well as the staff. They are very accomodating and supportive. I have had no problems with my band and have lost 56 pounds since surgery. This is the best thing I have ever done for myself! I wish you luck with everything!:thumbup:

Hi, I was just wondering if anyone has had a baby or is pregnant now with the band. I am getting the band next month..and in about two years would like to start a family. My surgeon said it was fine but I was just curious of anyone's experiences. He said the band could be removed or I could have an unfill if necessary. Just wondering if anyone has had any complications? Thanks:biggrin:

Did you end up getting the band with Dr. Glasgow? My surgery date is 10/7/08..can hardly wait. Both of them are great. Adam is going to do my surgery. Good Luck!

Hi, I was wondering if anyone has had trouble taking medications in the pill form? I am getting banded on 10/7/08, should I buy liquid pain relievers for after surgery??

Hi..I have BCBS of Massachusetts. I am being banded October 7th. My doctors office said BCBS of MA gives a response within 24 hours. Good Luck!:thumbdown:
