Yes, I gained 7 lbs in between fills one time. When you move to solids it is very typical. Try to stick to 1 cup of food per meal until you can get a fill. My doctor gives fills at 6 weeks. Good luck.

I too gained weight during / after surgery -- They pump us full of liquids in the hospital with the IVs and then we go home and just sip liquid and aren't up and moving as much as normal to get it moving.

Don't worry -- when you're up and around normally again (in another week) it will start coming off again.

You are probably up from the swelling. I felt a heaviness in my stomach the 2nd day after my surgery from the swelling. Drink plenty of water and move as much as possible. I was banded on 12/17 and am down 26 lbs. The weight will come off just be patient.
