Anyone Annoyed with the "Stop losing weight"

  • Popular Post

I swear I am so tired of hearing that! "Your getting too skinny" "your going to start looking sick" "Stop losing weight" "I don't want to hurt your feelings but you should just eat a little more"

Like I realize this is the smallest I have ever been in my adult life, but I assure everyone that I am healthy and not starving myself. Even the surgeon and dietician said that I am eating more calories than someone at the same stage. I refuse to stop working out and refuse to stop eating how I eat to appease people.

Ran over thanks for listening!

TW: mental health issues, suicide, infertility I've gotten those comments already (only 3 months in, and nowhere near my goal weight), and in the past during other diet-based weight

  • Its annoying! I am over it. I am happy with the way I look and most importantly feel!

I used to try to convince myself that these people mean well

I for sure try to take the comments differently depending on intention.

Okay, you can stop losing weight now. \\ days later \\ You are stopping, right?

It's been fast - Is a good health thing or a bad health thing?

But.... mannnnn, that first type.

Honestly, the second can be rough too, but at least well meant.

I've stayed pretty well away from the outside commentary, but the very first person to comment on my weight lost positively was the first to comment about it negatively.

Though, I will say my circle is used to me having chronic, non-weight-related health issues.

FWIW, my health got worse the more weight I've lost. [ Especially the transition to a Healthy WeightTM. ]

I (and my doctors) did not expect my health conditions to improve in any specific way, but a decline is just r.u.d.e..

I am not saying I was not a recipient of the Importance of Weight Loss Soundtrack - most just didn't bother claiming it would help.

So I can see why most leaned towards - concern - before normal weight judgement.

^ The person above is more in the small talk/friendly greeting outer circle.... sooo yeaahhh.

I'm getting even more annoyed about it now because I'm actively trying to NOT lose more, so the comments are really unnecessary. I'm aware that I look very boney and gaunt. I don't need you drilling it into my head even more, thx so much ?
