Am I too tight? Please help...

Recommended Posts

Cyndi it is possible you're restriction is just now kicking in. My first fill to a month to restrict me. Some people it is immediate some it takes a few weeks. I don't know why this is but it is normal. Are you getting all your Water in? If not, start because dehydration makes you tighter also. If you pb'ed you will want to stay on liquids for 24 hours afterwards to let your stomach calm down, cuz it makes it swell. If you can't get in all your fluids or fluids make you pb you might need a slight unfill. I would hold off on the next fill, till you get comfortable with this new restriction.

is It Possible That I May Be At My Sweet Spot Now? I Am Able To Eat Maybe 3-5 Bites Of food. I Know Right Away That I Cannot Eat Another Bite, And I Feel Full As Well. It Is A Little Scary For Me As Well. I Wonder If It Is Enough Food. I Am Now At 3.2 Cc's In My 4cc Band. Do You Usually Reach Your "sweet Spot" Around Fill #5? Hopefully I Will Break Away From This Plateau.

I know this is an old post; but I'm wondering if what I am experiencing is due to being too tight. I have almost constant bubbles coming up my throat; I can't control it, if I try to force it out it's just a baby burp. It sounds like a creaking door. Is this my sweet spot? I feel okay, foodwise. Not eating much, but losing so I'm happy now. Is this normal, this creeky sound?

Hi Brianne79 ,

I'm totally unfilled right now because of restriction problems. Have had 1 fill after surgery and had to go for two unfills to no fill. Now I'm able to eat whatever.NOT GOOD.My DR seems to think my body is rejecting the BAND hope this is not so, if anyone has heard of this please let me know.He seemed a bit aggrevated in me because I have no weight lost .I went for the barium swallow last week which came out ok,and couldn't get in to see him until the 29th,I was thinking of asking to try 1.5 fill I don't want to have removed ,just very discouraged right now.Let me know how you are ok. THis bandster is so confused in what to do.Has anyone heard of the powder Protein mixed causing a build up of blockage maybe?

CONFUSED :wink2:

I am so glad I found this. I was not sure if I was too tight or just right. I can feel everything going down, and I even have this little gurgle that comes up when the food and/or drink goes through. I thought maybe I was too tight, but nothing is coming back up. I do feel like it gets stuck a little but maybe I have to try and eat a little slower. I have a 14cc band and I am at 7.5 cc's. Does anyone else get that gurgle?

I'm wondering if my band is too tight? I had my 4th fill last Wednesday and pretty much everything I eat gets stuck that I have to throw up. I even do this with crackers. I'm not even able to get full because I can't really eat anything. I would like anyone's opinions or advice. thank you

Sounds like you're stuck to me. Was your fill on Wednesday, 1/23, or 1/16? If it was 1/16 I would call your doctor. If it was 1/23 I would go back to liquids for a day or two, then mushies, then solids. I hope you feel better soon.

Sue

i was filled on Thursday 1/24...and had to call the doctor this evening to have him take a small amount out. I couldn't even drink Water (big gulps) without it sitting in the back of my throat, then all i could do was vomit water. This was the first time that I was ever filled so tight. The doctor said Thursday that he only put in so much, and that he could actually get more in but wasn't about to push it...maybe so much was to much for me.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
