No not really. depending on your surgeons schedule you will be able to eat soft foods in a few weeks after surgery. and tiny amounts fill you up fast. I was on solids after 2 weeks and it was glorious

probably not. I felt more tired than usual the first month or two post-surgery, but not like I did during the pre-op diet.

I did feel tired for a couple weeks post surgery but I think it had more to do with the surgery recovery itself. After that I was still on pretty low calories but I was fine.
I'm on my fourth day of liquid (mostly liquid - I do get a tiny protein and veggie meal). The desire to eat (combo of hunger and craving) is difficult. But what's more difficult is most of the day I feel pretty weak and lethargic. I can live with that - it's only two weeks. My bigger concern is - Between the meal and 3 shakes, I'm taking in about 700 cals a day. Will I be feeling this weak after surgery as well? It's one thing to have 2 weeks, but if I'm going to have 2-3 months of this, I want to get mentally prepared for that.
Anyone that had a hard time with the liquid prep because of low-energy, would love to hear how things went post-op.
