? Kids?

LOL Heck no. Moved in with my parents a couple years ago to save money. Free rent vs $2K a month in rent. Cant beat it lol. My other 2 brothers live here too. I plan on buying a house in 2 years so just saving up... Which paying $18K for this surgery seriously sucks lol

I have worked from home for many years and there is always other people here lol. There is no escape. haha.

But as my brother just remarked "you don't like that kind of food anyway really (burgers), you like raw meat, raw astringent fish and creepy crawlies". Which is true.

Lol @ Heck no.

Yeah that's smart, living with others and saving up. Hey, it helped you afford your surgery, so it's a good thing. Especially in this crappy economy.

My son will be 22 next month and already moved out. So I'm enjoying peace and quiet now. ?

They run pretty good sales on snow crab legs around the holidays. Just watch the sales papers.

"My surgeon says I need to eat the lowest calorie, highest protein, softest food possible. It was crab legs or lobster and this is cheapest"

Thanks for that. I was telling my aunt the other day that we need a bariatric food critic here to compile all the tips and tricks for eating out. Looks like someone started.

I rarely dine out. I always felt it was such a temptation and I'd screw up because I have less control over what goes into my food. Hopefully after this revision it'll be easier to dine out. Cause also when I had my Lap Band, I'd often have to leave the table due to food getting stuck. It became stressful.

Snow crab was one of my first soft foods. It’s delicious. I like it better than lobster unless I can get my hands on Maine lobster.

That would be stressful food getting stuck when your in public but at one year out from VSG I do dine out. I mostly get salads so far but I study the menu and nutrition info online for a while before I go. One thing that helps is I usually have my big meal at dinner but on days that I dine out for lunch I will have a small dinner (whatever I would have had for lunch).

One of my favourite seafoods, and very soft and easy to digest even 7 weeks out is langoustine, although there are many words for it. It's softer than shrimp/prawn and less meaty than lobster and in my opinion tastes better than both. This ..

I once got a seed stuck in my lap band and had to get it removed under sedation. It's what prompted me to get the revision, it's no kind of life to be taken down by a single sunflower seed.

I did the same thing! With my Lap Band, if I got nervous or stressed, my band would tighten up. Like get swollen and I couldn't get food down. I'm really hoping that things will be different after this revision.

Most likely because I have never experienced anything like that.

Omg! That looks delish! I just googled this name and it's also called Norway lobster. I've never seen these where I live. I live on the Gulf and I can get shrimp right on the dock when the ships come in.
