Hope your doing well, I’m down 86.5lbs to (193lbs) since my late January surgery. I take my vitamins and walk everyday. I also work out 3 days a week. Still some days only consume 700-1000 calories and some days 1600 cals. I feel great!! Very happy with my progress and the decision to get this surgery. I also haven’t had a stall yet.

RNY on Jan 3rd. I started this process a year and a half ago.

I start my liquid diet on Jan 4th and will be working during my liquid diet also. I think I am more worried about the liquid diet more then the actual surgery [emoji1787]
My date is the 16th I start the liquid diet on the 2nd

Mine is January 16th.

nervous for the whole thing. I should just stay off the internet and reading horror stories. I know everyone is different and this isn't a new surgery invention, so all should be good. I just hope it works for me and for all of you.

Today had my surgery. Gastric by pass. It was done at 530. The party pain isn’t as bad as o thought it would be. Walking and sitting in the chair really helps. So do the drugs. A lot of burping.
I am able to tolerate fluid and a popsicle. I hope I keep this progress up.

Good luck to all having the surgery. Sending best wishes.

I see a lot of January 18th and 20th, but did anyone else have surgery on the 19th?

Also, anyone else having surgery in two steps? I had VSG as a first step procedure and within 12-18 months (whenever I stop losing weight) I’ll be having either the traditional DS or the SADI.

My surgery was on January 19th and my incisions are healing nicely. They are super itchy as well! I've been putting Mederma gel on them. Has anyone tried that Bio-Oil at all?

Yay, another January 19th!

I’m 5’9” and down 12 lbs since surgery and at least 30 lbs down since my pre-op diet started on December 22. My scale didn’t go beyond 400 lbs so I don’t actually know my highest weight, only that I was at least 410 lbs in late November 2022 (on the hospital’s scale).

My incisions are also healing nicely but yeah mine are also really itchy, which is a great thing as it means the nerve ends are healing like they should. I’m having my stitches removed next Thursday.
