my sugery is on Monday i can't beleve it but I have been very bad. i haven't been taking my opti slim shakes is this ok ?

Sometimes there is a few days of clear fluids, What is your post op food guidelines for the first couple of weeks post op? If you were meant be consuming shakes sooner than later what are you consuming instead? Anything? Are you getting any nutrition?

The protein in the shakes is to benefit your healing & health. As @Hop_Scotch said, some plans require clear fluids the first few days or week. Whatever your plan, stick to it. The plan is in place for a reason. If it’s only been a couple of days though, you’ll likely be okay but get back on track ASAP.

I am wondering if I have misunderstood? Did you have surgery on Monday or surgery is on Monday coming? In that case you haven't been following your pre-op plan? The pre-op plan is to help shrink the liver for surgery. Some pre-op plans do not include a liver shrinking phase. If you didn't do shakes what have you been doing pre-op?

Perhaps you need to check in with your surgeon or dietician.

Oh, good point @Hop_Scotch. Were the opti slim shakes your pre surgical diet? If you don’t lose the required or an acceptable amount of weight pre surgery your surgeon can defer your surgery. Not all will but… Most definitely contact your medical team now.
