I am doing great! Still doing mostly liquids and cream Soups. eggs are a no go! Got really sick. Which I am kinda bummed about because I really like eggs. But I still don't really have any hunger...there has been a few times I thought I was hungry, but then I drank some lemon tea and it went away. As of yesterday, I am down 31lbs from my HW and 27lbs from my SW. Had a 3 day stall...but then it was back to losing. I need to try some soft vegs..but I'm a bit scared. The whole egg fiasco was not fun.

Your surgery date is coming up! May 18th, right? How is the pre-op diet going?

Oh yikes at the egg situation! Trying solids post-op seems scary. Can't imagine how you're feeling.

I was so curious to see how things were going for you and how you were feeling so far. How are cream Soups doing for you? I'm sure the sensation is going to be so weird testing out foods and seeing how your new tummy reacts. Sounds like even with the stall, you're doing great! Yay you!

And yep, my date is May 18th. I'm all liquids on my diet, and it's going...okay. I'm trying to be creative but I'm stuck in the caffeine withdrawal fog. Hopefully I'll be feeling better after a few days.

Love these updates!

The cream Soups are actually really good. Cream of Mushroom is my favorite. I can only eat quarter of a can right now mixed with Water. Fills me right up. And doesn't bother my stomach at all.

I went thru the caffeine withdrawal before surgery. I was a 3-5 cup a day junkie. Last week, I tried to drink a cup of Decaf and it did not taste right. So I waited a couple of days and tried again...still tasted funny. It will be interesting to see what other things I used to eat that I no longer care for as time goes on. Hope you get over the withdrawal fog quickly!

Oh perfect! I'll have to try cream Soups, for sure. Thanks! Today is day 4 of LSD and the first day I haven't woken up with a headache. I'm officially 6 days caffeine free so hopefully that was the worst of it. So funny that Decaf tasted weird. That'll be fun - retrying all of the different textures to see how you react.

Any advice for surgery day? I've heard a heating pad and mouth spray, but that's about it 🤷‍♀️

mouth spray - definitely! I didn't take a heating pad and was one of the lucky ones who didn't have much pain. But I would take one, just in case. I knew I was only staying one night, so the comfy clothes I wore day of surgery, I wore home. Only brought a change of undies and socks. Toothbrush, mouthwash, phone/charger. Nothing else.

My suggestion for after surgery, when you are back in your room is to walk as much as possible. I think that really helped with the gas pain, as I did not have much of that either. I walked, drank Water, and rested all thru the evening, night and the next morning until discharged. I was nauseous a couple of times, but that went away as soon as I would get up to walk around.

Cannot wait for you to have your surgery! Hope it goes as well as mine and you recover quickly. It really is a process. Follow your drs plan and keep drinking water. I did struggle the first few days with drinking water, but kept on top of it and it got much better by day 3. My dr told me that...the more you drink, the easier it gets. He was right!

So excited for you!

Thanks for the hospital bag list - Putting one together now. Crazy to think you're on the other side of surgery already healing 🏆 Sounds like things went pretty smoothly for you - that's so awesome!

It's unreal that the day is on the horizon. Good to know about the water - I've definitely heard that, so I'll have to keep it in mind.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
