I was at the stables yesterday, putting a winter blanket on my horse. It's a bit like putting a turtleneck on a giraffe--requires a lot of cooperation from the "wee beastie" because his ears are 8 feet tall and the blanket weighs 10-20lbs.

I was having a tough go--the lady across the barn aisle even offered to help me several times.

What she didn't know/couldn't see: every time I raised my arms above my head, my pants would fall down. Not funny! And not safe in an enclosed area with a 1,500lb animal. At least the stall door was closed, so I was hidden from the shoulders down.

I'm going to have to get an "Elly May Clampett" string to tie my pants up. :eyebrows: And a buckle-front blanket.

LOL that is funny LessnLess congratulations!! Great Job!! I tis always a GOOD thing when your pants start falling off.....after WLS!!

I went through my closet again today and weeded out tons more things that are swimming on me now.....YIPPEEE!!!!

I tried on 3 pairs of size 20 jeans from old and they fit...I am so happy!!

I worked out today for 1 1/2 hours at the club and it felt awesome......I love that I am not dragging anymore when I go work out.

I love when I can get into my smaller sizes, I have alot of size 18-20 and size 16 clothes....from 5 years ago, before I gained the last 70 pounds.

It will be nice to wear them again!! Hehehehe I think I might be on my way!!:clap2:

LMAO!! Now there is an image. You had me laughing so hard.

I went with DH to take the kids swimming - no, I didn't actually feel brave enough to get into a suit (not just the fat...I haven't felt like shaving my legs lately...LOL). But anyway, walking past a mirror, I thought I'd just give a quick glance since I keep hearing from people that they'll catch their image in a mirror and not recognize themselves. My face looks a little thinner, but I notice that when I'm just normally looking at myself. What WAS odd was that my used-to-be skin-tight stretchy jeans (I bought them like that - that was the style) now look like skater pants on me. LOL Looks like it's time to get a new pair of "signature" jeans. I only have been buying one pair of jeans at a time once I got over size 14 because it was too depressing trying them all on. When I find a pair that fits, that's good enough for me and I look no further. Now I have to get a new pair. AND I need a new pair of work pants, too.

Ok. I lost a pound. I know that is not an NSV but here is the NSV part. I made it through Christmas AND new years without feeling "left out" and still managed to lose a pound last week!!! Now that IS an NSV!

I got one! I got one! I got one! I got one!

This morning I put on a pair of size 28 jeans. I haven't been able to get these over my fat stomach for many years. Well, I thought I would try them because I am done 60lbs. Mind you I started at a size 32 (very tight). Imagine my surprise when they went over my stomach and zipped up without having to lay on the bed in contortions. I must admit a bit tight but I can sit and not feel like my body is cut in half.

I am so elated right now. Size 28 and goodbye 30 and 32. Never to see again.

May we all have happy jean moments in the future.

Cindy

None of the pants in my closet are tight anymore. I don't want to go buy new ones, I gave all of my old, old smaller size jeans to Goodwill with the arrival of son #2. I am wearing saggy baggy clothes, and LOVING it. I guess I'll go buy new ones when I can't raise my arms over my head without them falling down. Also, I'm wearing my scrub tops that I haven't been able to wear in about 3 years. I always wear scrub pants and a t-shirt with scrub jacket (unbuttoned) to work b/c the tops were stretched too tight and showed too many belly bulges. Now I can wear the tops OVER a long-sleeved shirt, and even sit down w/o them getting tight! I LOVE this band!

OK... WOW!

My wife today told me that my jeans were falling off! "No they aren't!" These are my 2 week old jeans size 48 that I posted an NSV about on the main NSV thread. So i said to myself, "I will try on some 46 jeans at wally world... I know they won't fit... grumble, grumble, grumble." I pulled the things up and straightened out the pockets and they buttoned and zipped right up!

SIZE 46 BABY!!! Down from size 54!!! I can't believe this. I only have 4 more pant sizes to go to get to my goal size of 36.

Everybody is doing so great. I love hearing all the NSVs. Even if I've read them once, I'll generally read through again from my last post before posting again. It's so encouraging.

I noticed today that my work coat is swimming on me. It's an XL. It was tight when I first ordered it and DH was actually trying to get me to take a XXL. But it was right before my LapBand surgery and I knew it wouldn't last me too long. I'm so excited. I told him to grab a M when he's at the office next so I can hang onto it when I get into M!

Cag,

Isn't it great! Just love clothes NSV moments. I can't wait until I can shop in Wal-mart for clothes. I haven't been able to do that in years. I am probably at that point now but I am holding off as long as I can because I want to reach 100lbs. before May! Then it is a whole new summer wardrobe Baby!

Although, I am starting Water aerobics at the "Y" and I need a bathing suit that fits. The one I got is way to big now. I guess I will have suck it up!

What a boring weekend without football for my Pats. I am sure you felt the same with no Cowboys. Not sure that I like my game next week with the JAGS even though I am confident that we will probably beat them, I just wish we were facing a team that is less explosive. However, you got beat the best to be the best. So I am sure that we will beat the JAGS; it will make for a very interesting game. I think I will have be a football party Saturday night. They had better win because it is my birthday and I am turning 40. That would be the best birthday present this year!

Keep up the great work and I want to see the ticker symbol go down; it hasn't changed in a while.

Cindy

I am so excited that I had this surgery. For the first time ever, I think I have this weight thing licked! I watch The Biggest Loser, and read People Magazine about people who have lost so much weight and it makes me cry to think how many times I have lost, only to gain it back! I cry for them because I know the struggles they will always feel. I feel so blessed that I should never have that issue again! Losing this time, knowing it is the final time it such a great feeling. I do not feel deprived at all, which is such a new feeling for me when trying to lose weight! I am full and content. Even when I wasn't on a strict diet, I was always so contious of what I was eating. It feels great to take a bite of absolutely anything I wish to taste without the guilt that I will be fat if I do it. I am down 27 lbs in less than 2 months and down over 1 size in pants... shirts not so much (boobs!) I have lost in places like my calves (yeah! boots are comfy now) and my tush. I also see a huge difference through the ribs & back area... :whoo:

Hi guys I hope you don't mind if I jump in and share a couple of NSVs . I have ben reading all of your and I am so inspired by you all.

When I started my jourmey I wore a size 18W jeans I was on meds for blood prssure and arthritis in my back. I no longer need either of these meds and I feel so good now. As far as the clothing sizes go I am just dumbfounded. My daughter(size 11) was mistakenly given a size 17 jean for Christmas. She brought them into my room and said I could have them since they were way too big for her. I tried them on just for kicks since they are juniors and designer and knock me down they fit!!!!! I have not had on juniors jeans in years!!! I am still a long way from goal but boy did this make every moment of this journey worth it .

Keep up the good work and thank you for letting me brag a little it feels so good! Take care

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
