Has anyone ever been told they may not be permitted to have surgery because their triglycerides are too high?

My PCP said to ask for surgeon to move up my surgery, due to my extremely high triglyceride level...2220. So, I placed a call to them, and am now being told they want me to see a cardiologist to determine if it is even safe for me to proceed with surgery. Just curious if anyone else experienced anything like this...

High triglyceride levels are initially treated with a low-fat, low-carbohydrate diet and lifestyle modifications. When this does not work, your health care provider may want to add medication to help lower your triglyceride levels

Yes, I have been on many different medications, and nothing seems to work, as "Fatty Livers" are hereditary. I currently take Crestor 20mg and Vascepa 1gm, 2 twice a day.

My physician was for it. My triglycerides and cholesterol are back to normal.
