Saying “hello” to everyone here, and “Happy New Year”. I see my surgeon on January 9, 2020, and we will determine my surgery date. It has taken me more than 2 years to get to this place and I am excited but also feeling a bit anxious. I started worrying last week that I would never be able to truly enjoy any kind of normal food after this, and it would all be chicken breast and steamed veggies. I actually cannot even type that without cringing a bit. Did anyone else who is now well into the gastric bypass journey (or other method) feel this at the pre-op stage? I am active and love cooking, but have always eaten too much my whole life. I do enjoy healthy foods like veggies and fruits but my sweet tooth is crying right now...am I crazy? I worry about how I can do this. Any thoughts you share are appreciated.
