The liquid stage is the worst. You just want to CHEW something! Once you get to the mushies stage it gets easier. Until then sugar free popsicles are great! And jello--even if you normally hate it it tastes pretty good!

Mushies--refried Beans are great--drizzle a little taco sauce on them. Ricotta cheese with a bit of no sugar added spaghetti sauce. eggs with a little salsa are great. I'm gonna have to stop--I'm making myself hungry!

You are doing great!

I was sleeved 12/16 as well. Sometimes for me it really is just head hunger, I don’t physically feel hungry although my stomach has growled a few times. Smelling food or even cooking for my family and not eating it is killing me lol. I’m on full liquids for another week before I can start purées..I can’t wait. I have bitten and chewed a piece of baked chicken and spit it out (not advising you to do this or saying it’s okay) and it helped me feel a little better, my husband was laughing at me but he just doesn’t understand lol. I can have cream of wheat and that’s been a life saver for my breakfasts, warm with a little bit more tester than broth, maybe try that if it’s allowed for you?

I'm so glad you posted this. I'm a week out (it will be a week tomorrow) and I'm hungry. Might be head hunger, but I feel like I'm hungry. I kind of thought that was not supposed to happen after the sleeve. I have one more week of liquids and boy, it's hard right now.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
