Bypass revision for GERD after sleeve

I had a sleeve done in 2013. I lost a ton of weight and am very happy with the resuIts. I lost 120 pounds and have kept it off. The problem is that it gave me terrible GERD to the point where medication no longer helps. I've seen multiple doctors and they all say I need surgery to correct the GERD before it becomes pre-cancerous. The surgery to correct the GERD is a gastric bypass. I'm already at my goal weight of 175 and I'm scared that I'll loose too much weight. Has anyone experienced this too? I'm looking for feedback.

Hi ,

I was coverted at my goal weight to fix GERD. So far it has been resolved from conversion from VSG to RNY. You *can* maintain if you work at it. But above all resolving the medical issues in play was invaluable. Speak with your surgeon to come up with a plan!

Good Luck ?
