Suddenly lost clumps at 4 months post. Slowed down after 1-2 months and I noticed baby hairs coming in at month 6. Now I feel like I shed the normal amount of hair. I can still see some baby hairs so it will take another 6 months to get back to my normal.
Not sure if it helped but my Vitamin has Biotin, I use Nioxin Shampoo, and git my hair cut to shoulder length to help the thin ends.

Worrisome, but not unexpected. The trauma of surgery and rapid weight loss, sometimes Protein insufficiency cause it. I too am suffering Hair loss. The best thing I did was to stop washing my hair every day. Went to every other day, and now 2 times a week. I thought it would look dirty, but I guess the hair follicles get used it it, and it doesn't look greasy at all.
I can't take extra Biotin as it makes me breakout.

I started shedding at 3 months. Kept shedding for another 4-5 months. I'm at 1 year now and I have lots of 1 to 1.5 inch baby hairs all over my head. My head still looks pretty threadbare, but it's slowly growing back in. I figure this time next year, it should be back to normal-looking.

You are going to lose hair (unless you are one of the lucky few). Just try to remember it will come back eventually.

P.S. I cut my hair into a pixie cut so I wouldn't have to deal with the carpet of long hairs trailing behind me. And I can fluff/texturize/volumize it better when it's short.

I lost a lot of hair starting 3 months post op and it was VERY upsetting even tho I knew it was going to happen. I had a hysterectomy in 2015 and also had Hair loss after that surgery so I knew what to expect. My hair stopped falling around month 5 and I noticed a LOT of baby hairs sticking up everywhere. Now I shed the normal I usually would. I only took my regular bariatric Vitamins prescribed. I don't really think all of the Biotin really makes a difference with stopping hair loss.

I take natures way Alive! hair skin and nails formula gummies. Looks like little strawberries. Tastes good and seems to help. The longer your hair is the more drastic any loss will look. I have my hair very short, in a buzz cut pixie. But I like it this way and easy to wash. I also use a massaging Shampoo brush. Like a scalp massager. Healthy scalp healthy hair. I don’t brush my hair anymore. Also wrap my head in a microfiber hair towel after showering.

Thanks everyone this is helpful because I just hit my 3 months and I was freakin out. But as long as I know it will grow back I'm good.

I had a lot of Hair loss from 3 weeks out to about 7 months out or so. Then it regrew, but now it's falling out a little bit again. In the beginning it did thin out A LOT. I lost about 40%. But it came back. Now I just shed a bit more than usual, but clumps don't come out like they did and it doesn't look thin anymore.

I'm seriously waiting for this to happen! I have such thick hair that I'm actually wanting a reprieve from it for a little bit. I haven't been on point with my Vitamins this week but have been pretty good about it over all so maybe that's it. Or maybe I just can't get rid of it because I didn't shed after having babies either. Also, I've never washed my hair everyday, twice a week, maybe three times tops so I'm sure that helps. I haven't been kind to my hair either, I had a balayage this summer and just bleached in some more highlights.

My hair changed color after surgery. I used to have very auburn hair, but as I got older it slowly turned more brown and dull. After the surgery it grew back auburn again. An unexpected bonus!

I have naturally curly hair and can get away with washing my hair once to twice a week. Sounds like I may have to cut it shorter when it starts to fall out. I don't remember how much I lost the first surgery.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
