Tomorrow is the big day...

Well, it is here. I must say 3 months went quickly.

I’m drinking clear liquids only today and then at 6pm I have to do the dreaded prep. I guess the bathroom will be where I spend most of the night...

I don’t know why I need to clear out my colon for VSG but I will comply...

Pain meds tend to block you up pretty badly, so you'll be happy you don't have a poop backlog to process! Anyway, best wishes on your surgery and hoping you have a speedy recovery!

  • I didn't have to do any prep. I'm glad that sounds like it would suck. Good luck! You'll make it :-)

Great news! Thanks so much for posting! Wishing you a quick complete recovery. I'm on for Monday 10/21.

You will rock it!

They did some kind of pain block while in surgery. That lasts a few days I hear. So that made walking around the hospital easier for me, I bet.

Since I was walking they were able to remove those pressure socks that inflate to prevent blood clots. That was a plus.

Best of luck on the 21st!

So glad to hear that your surgery was successful and that you're home and on the mend. Thanks for posting to let us know. Keep us updated on how your journey continues now that you are post-op.

Thanks for the kind words. I am going to head over to post op as I have a few questions for the experts.

Thank you so much for the encouragement! Countdown begins for Monday. Keeping my mind focused on the overall outcome. When thoughts of certain foods come to mind, I acknowledge it and remind myself of the major change in health that's around the corner. Can't want to golf, ride a bike and the many activities I used to enjoy. I'm so grateful to be able to share on this website.

Hi all! I made it with flying colors.

I stayed the one night and now I am home.

It was easier than I expected. I’m sore but not that bad.

Gas pains were minor but I did walk an awful lot so maybe that helped.

Best wishes to all!

Woo Hoo!!! Congratulations!!!! Rest well!!!
