I was never a chugger, but I could drink at a normal pace within a few days (maybe a week?) of surgery and I'm a big drinker, around a gallon a day.

Yes. I played by the rules until my doc released me to drink at comfort/will. I can guzzle about 1 cup at a time. I can do cold water now, but prefer it if it's a bit colder than room temp. Play

I'm almost 10 months out. I was a water chugger before wls and still am. I did sip for the first 1-2 weeks after surgery, but by week 2 I found I was able to chug away. I probably even drink more
Before surgery, I drank A LOT of water. Like, an obnoxious amount. I drank it fast, cold, and rapidly. Obviously, with the new sleeve, I am down to sips. My question for folks here who have gone through surgery, and are happy with the results ----- can you chug without crumbling in pain?
