One Week - Hardly Any Shed lbs but Happy

  • Popular Post

Hello Everyone - I am one-week post-op today, and I am now only 2 pounds lighter than I was last week. That is ok with me, and I am so happy I had the "tune-up" surgery. I do need to wear an abdominal binder getting on and out of bed. I return to work this week and zero pain. I am hopeful and positive that the weight will continue to come off. During my Pre-Op Liquid diet, I shed 25 lbs, so I am feeling good about that. I have broken my weight goals into 35-pound goals. I am 27 pounds from target 1.

Way to go, 2TF!!!! You are doing great. That makes a 27 pound loss in just a few weeks time. Keep following your program and I have no doubt that you will hit everyone of your goals.

a lot of people don't lose much the first few days after surgery - reason being is they pump you full of IV fluids at the hospital. Not only is it a ton of fluid, but those IV fluids contain sodium to boot, so if you're salt sensitive, you'll retain it for a few days. You should see a drop-off after the first week, though. It takes a couple of days to work the fluids out of your system - more if you're sodium-sensitive.

That's an excellent way to break down your goals into smaller increments.
