Hi. If anyone is curious I had my surgery Tuesday. As of today I’m doing well. No need for pain meds. My stomach feels still so bloated though. Like I’m pregnant! No big issues with my liquids just not that interested. Its like a job to fit everything in. Passing gas is a challenge but walking around is helpful. Any questions feel free to message me. Im more than happy to share any of it if will help! Good luck to those coming up!

Hi @Thea7777! How are you feeling? How bad was the pain in the immediate recovery at the hospital?

Hi! I’m new here. My surgery is tomorrow, a revision from a 10 year old band to the sleeve. I have to be there at 5:45am. Yikes! I haven’t been nervous but am starting to get really nervous now. I appreciate all of you sharing your stories! It’s helping to calm me down.

Good luck!!!! You will do amazing!! I had the band to sleeve revision as well and it has been the best thing I've ever done other than having my kids and marrying my husband
Wishing you a safe surgery and speedy recovery!!

Thank you so much, DeeDee! I didn’t think I’d be so nervous, especially since it’s not my first surgery. I’m so glad to hear you had the same surgery and it went so well. I want to be healthy for myself, and for my husband and kids, too. Thanks so much for your response!! If you don’t mind my asking, did the port removal incision hurt a lot? My surgeon said it would likely be the most painful aspect.

I honestly didn't feel any different compared to the other incision sites. It was glued and it was not particularly painful. A few pinch here and there but nothing intolerable honestly!!

Hi All,

Revision from band to bypass was this past Friday 9/13. I was in the hospital until Sunday mid morning. Overall I feel ok. Main issue has been pain and bloating at the top of my stomach. Like right below my sternum. I’ve never really pushed out there much except when I was pregnant and right now I’m looking about 8 months along. Lol🤣😂 Fortunately my incisions haven’t hurt much and liquids are going down very well with no nausea or tummy trouble. Wednesday’s are my usual weigh on days, but given how bloated I am, I’m going to wait a few more days, just so I can try and get a somewhat close to actual starting weight.
Hope everyone is doing well!!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
