i was under impression that those hunger pains many people always have would go away for a short time following gastric sleeve..it lasted a day and since i was not eating much in the hospital i have nothing but non stop hunger pains...

And at first it may not be hunger as much as v your gastric juices diminishing down. Anger and avid production often mimics an hunger sensation.

And of course there's head hunger, thinking about food, instead of physical hunger too. Sometimes the absence of food makes us "crave" it.
