Adult acne

Good afternoon,

I'm 3.5 post-op and am 54 years old. I've had acne my whole life. I had surgical menopause at 40. Since losing 62 pounds my acne has flaired up. I'm getting in my scalp more than my face right now. I've taken antibiotics several times before.

Is this from hormones secreting after weight loss? I can't handle this and may have to go see the Dr.

Thanks!

Hmmmm, that's interesting. I'm six months post-op sleeve and am almost identical to you (54 years old, surgical menopause/hysterectomy at 30) and I've lost 50 pounds, but I haven't had the acne issue or felt hormonal yet. Hang in there.

I started having acne too, and I thought my face has gotten oilier from the new foods I'm eating after the surgery. I changed my moisturizer and face cleanser to oil free. From Oil of Olay, I am now using water base Nutrigena moisturizer and I forgot the brand of my cleanser and I'm at work right now. But in any case, people are noticing that my face has cleared and glowing too they said.. ha! Hope it continues to clear.
