Sleeve Gastrectomy and the Military

Hey there!

I’m basically reaching out today to see if anyone has gotten the surgery and attempted or has enlisted in the military post-op?

It’s been a goal of mine since I was 15 years old of wanting to be apart of something bigger and make something of myself. I have read Government PDF’s online, spoken to a couple recruiters and to two surgeons. I have gotten mixed answers, please help!

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.military.com/join-armed-forces/disqualifiers-medical-conditions.html/amp It appears that it must be confirmed in writing that it is not a disqualifier, otherwise

  • Oh my oh my, I didn't realize they demand you to be in A-1 condition or they are not interested in you! Seems awfully strick but I guess I also would want the Best of The Best to maintain my freedom

It appears that it must be confirmed in writing that it is not a disqualifier, otherwise you risk too much

Good luck ?
