Hi there, I'm also having a VSG done July 1. I'm filled with anticipation and anxiety at the same time. I can't wait to be done with the Cpap. High BP, bad knees and overall feeling like crap..

July 23. I have been waiting not so patiently since mid April to be cleared due to problem with my labs. All of today was spent waiting in Dr. Office. Sent to lab to reorder blood work. More waiting but finally cleared for surgery.

Surgery twins!

I hit the one week no-solids phase tomorrow. I didn't do that great the first week with my pre-op restrictions (real hunger kicked in Day 3), but my mother will be around this week and I refuse to sneaky-eat behind anyone's back. Tomorrow I see my therapist, so hopefully that will provide a boost as well. It's not easy imagining the day (so close!) when so little food will be satisfying or even too much.

Girl i feel the same way. Ive been obese my entire life (and im only 22 years old) and ive never not ate entire meal. Its gonna be so weird to only eat so little but at the same time im so excited.

oh right I think I forgot to say I'm July 23! Time is flying by.
I don't know about you but it feels like each day is going by in slowmo. I guess I am just ready to get this show on the road.

I’m new to this and not sure how it works but I’m getting sleeved on July 8 in NJ. I am 41. I would love to have a little support group with other people getting sleeved around the same time so we can help support each other!

Amen! I think it was Mom_of_Chaos..oh my gosh I need to verify her name but she was starting a list of everyone in July by date which I thought was really cool. I'm on July 1st in TX. I'm 50 but if you ask me in public you may hear me say 49..LOL Welcome! We are all going through this together!! We'll be in very close stages of recovery too!

So cute! I am browsing for bariatric portion plates and getting some Water bottles with caps (no straws) and this came up in the list. My bestfriend is getting surgery probably a month after me I should totally get her this!

I think you should get yourself one too! I was trying to think of finding water bottles that aren't so obviously meant to be used with a straw. I've been trying to drink out of my 'Yeti-like' cup and it just dribbles all over me. I love it because it keeps stuff cold and I live in TX but I feel like a toddler who needs a sippy cup because I've obviously forgotten how to drink stuff without a straw!!!! Was hoping to also find those little container/cups that most ppl find at Dollar General only because with work at a high peak with ppl worried because I'm having surgery wow...this coming Monday...I need to spend as much time working as possible.

Surgery Triplets! Woo... July 23rd!

Here is my cart right now lol. I am getting these Simple Modern water bottles they have great reviews. I live in Tx too and people who live in Tx have reviewed them even in Arizona which I've lived there too HOT HOT HOT!! People said they stay cold! I am getting a 32oz for at home to fill up twice a day. They have a 64oz one, but I dunno how massive it is so Ill just do 32oz then I am gonna get a 17oz one for on the go so it fits in the cup holders and easier to transport. Mine is July 22nd but i've been working a ton of overtime to keep myself busy and the time is flying :)

I had to do 3 months medically supervised diet prior to my surgery. I started back on March 1st but finally got my date for July 16th. SW-343 CW-313. I've met alot of good people going to group meetings and figured I would try this forum!
