My gut has been tight off and on but I’m able to drink short sips of Water, broth. Did have a rough bout with soft boiled egg... owie my pouch of a stomach definitely tells me if I give it something it doesn’t like! So far so good. Another week of puréed foods...

I talked to doctor, they told me to stop my Protein Shakes until swelling is down and restart them Sunday. Today it seems to be better.

Well that's good :)

Im July 17th!!
Lol I don't know what I was saying. I'm July 17th, not 18th. Think I got confused because I am travelling to San Diego the 16th, and having surgery in Mexico the 17th.

They used a robot which I guess has better outcomes for pain and people go home quicker usually
My doctor used a robot also. 🙂 I didn’t know that was a thing until I went to my first appointment with him. I’m on day 6 now post-op and just started Protein Drinks. So far my tummy hasn’t acted crazy. I start all other full liquids Tues 🤞🏽

Supposedly the robot = quicker recovery and less pain. I would say my pain has been less than I expected but still painful. I was bloated... and distended.... for days. I just started passing adequate gas and had a BM on post op day 5. I re-added Protein Shakes now, a different type. Milk based were causing additional bloat so trying something different now! I feel ok but still needing oxy for pain. And all I want to do is sleep. I also had Tomato Soup last night, about 2oz. Wasn’t too bad!

Its so crazy 2oz! Reminds me of what a baby drinks when they are first born.

What post op groceries did yall get? I have a few things like the broth packets I got from Bariatric Pal. But that's about it. Is there a list floating around here somewhere?

I have a TON of stuff. Some from the BariatricPal Store, some not.
I have a lot of Protein juices & Soups - sampler packs from the BP Store. Batches of Bone Broth (Kitchen Basics) Beef & chicken. The Beef is OK, the chicken is delish! sugar free popsicles!! I've been buying them for a couple of months, every time they went on sale. This week they were 2 (18 in a box) for $5! My freezer looks like a store freezer display! I have about 14 boxes! My surgery date is 7/22! I'm ready! Let's go!

This is the most amazing news! Way to go. This also gives me hope as I am not taking too much time off work. I know everyone handles pain/surgery differently but hearing 6 days out w/o pain is completely great!!!!!!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
