I was just told that prior to my upcoming surgery (non rny related) that I need to be off all vitamins and no protein powder for a week. Will I have issues with this? She said the vitamins can interfere with anesthesia and the pp can mess it up as well. I'm about 3.5 months out of rny surgery. My bloodwork for vitamins done at 3 months were all good. She said if I felt bad I could take them again but stop 3 days before. BUT on the surgery paperwork it said to not stop taking vitamins (only stop fish oil) if you are a gbp person. I didnt read the packet until I got home or I would have asked for clarification. Anyone have any advice about this?
