2 Days Post Op - Gurgling stomach and upset stomach

Hey All,

So today was my first day home after having Gastric Bypass on Wednesday, 1/30. All day my stomach has been gurgling and I ended up slowly running to the bathroom with an upset stomach and lots of gas several times.

At first I was excited not to be backed up from all the pain meds, but it’s happened all day now. Is it normal to poop 6-8 times so soon after surgery? Is it a reaction to a new medication/vitamin or something I’m drinking? Any ideas?

Honestly, I would not worry as long as you are drinking your fluids to ensure you do not get dehydrated. Our pouches and new intestinal tract are going to react somehow, someway to let us know they aren't happy with us.

Feel well!
