Two weeks out from sleeve surgery
I'm 2 weeks out and my surgeon told me to move to soft food. Cottage cheese, scrambled eggs, chili and ground meats are some of the food I can have. I have no calorie goal or carb goal. What should I be aiming for? I dont want to mess this up. Just afraid to start real food.

YAY! Less than 100 to go!
That is amazing. Congrats to you .

I just can't get warm!
That's so weird, I didnt think about the coldness as being from the surgery. Figured it was just the weather. I had my surgery on the 31st of January.

Cream of celery , cream of potatoe. cream of mushroom etc. All made with milk and all have chunky bits. Use an emerssble blender to keep to bits gone. I can make a can last all day. Eating a quarter of it at breakfast quarter st lunch and rest in evening. My Nut said to stay away from Pudding and jello.not sure why. No protein maybe. I hope that helps a little.

Gastric Sleeve Surgery 2/20/2019
Welcome to the boards. I was in your shoes last week. I was nervous scared, my anxiety was pegged at high thinking would I fail at this too. Then I had a reality check. I told meself. I want to change, I need a tool to help. I can handle this and I'm strong. I'm tired of being fat. I had my surgery on 1/31/19. The pain was not bad except when sitting and standing using your abs. I had no gas pain( thank god) and walk walk walk. It feels good to get out of bed. My surgeon was funny, he said your not a sick person, dont lay in bed and act like your dying after surgery. So I took his advice and was move active. The pain meds work well, and if you still have pain, tell your nurse, they will get ya something stronger. You got this. You will be on the losers bench soon. You will start your pre op diet soon.

I can’t figure out how much I should be eating
Not to puree yet but good question. I was wondering this too. I have been saving empty apple sauce containers. I figure that's a good starting size for puree. Thoughts??

BCBS of IL. Kept saying that I was having a lapband removal at the same time as getting sleeve done. I had the lap band removal in September and they approved it . We dont know why they kept saying that both would happen at once. The dr. Didnt submit it this way. Also this was the 1st time GERD was part of the reason to deny the claim. GERD was never submitted as a reason to remove lap band. Anyway. We appealed to the state of Illinois because of all this and they told them...to approve the Sleeve.

How long have you been obese?

How long have you been obese?
I have been big ever since I was a kid. I got married I was 240. And after each pregnancy I gained more weight. I have 3 children. My HW was 350 and had lap band surgery which I lost 70 lbs. Got down to 280. But I've been slowly going back up so had my band removed in September 2018 and just had my sleeve done on January31st 2019. I'm ready to start this new journey and get down to a healthy weight. I would love to get to my wedding weight for my 25th Anniversary in December...

Counting down & preparing a bag.
Cant stress enough.. lip gloss or balm . My lips got so cracked and dyed out because of the breathing tube. Also the exceptionally dry air in the hospital.

January surgeries?!
Anxiety of what? I ventured out today to Walmart. Needed more protein shakes and cream soups. Not allowed to eat pudding or Jello so that's ok. But can have sugerfree popcicles. Found the tropical flavors. No lifting makes it kind of fun. Hubby had to lift the stuff and carry in. ( evil grin)

January surgeries?!
Day 3 of new me. I feel good if I dont move. Sitting still I feel like nothing happened. Standing, or going to a sit of stand, it's very painful. Walking is about a 3 on the pain scale but I can manage it with pain meds. I just cant get over the... what hunger. I feel no need for food. It's so weird not to be hungry( wish it stayed) . How long does the not being hungry last?
