Weight regain can happen with any type of surgery. Behavior change and the choices you make will be a factor in your outcome. There are many sleevers that have kept the weight off long term.

  • I am getting on the road to go to the hospital! Going by myself and will be there all by myself for the majority of the time until my husband comes later in the week. I have been having such an awesom

Tonya Why would they keep you in the hospital so long? I have heard of band to bypass staying a few days.

I'm having gastric bypass and my doctor said I'll only be in the hospital one night unless I'm not doing well. Hope you can leave sooner. Good idea about bringing your own pillow. And thanks for reminding me to bring my Chapstick. Ugh. The CPAP! I have a love/hate relationship with mine and hope that someday I will no longer need it (although my brother is the perfect weight and he has been on one for years). I was diagnosed with sleep apnea about 6 years ago and still hate the darn machine, but if I miss even one night I'm miserable the next day. Here's to a CPAP-less future for both of us!

Hmmm, I may try that! Thanks?

So i don't know what I did to my account but I can't get into it so created a new one. I don't know why my doctor has us stay so long. Although The 10th is the earliest I would go home they said because my surgery isn't until 12 15pm.

I’m on the 13th, too. I’m on 4th day of pre-op. I’m only allowed Protein Shakes, broth, sugar free Jello, and sugar free popsicles. I’m dying!! ?

I'm on day 8 of this, well optifast protein shakes. It's easier now. I have 6 more days of it followed by 2 days of just clear fluids and then surgery on the 11th. I am dreading the 2 days of just clear though, I think I'll be starving then. Or maybe I will be so nervous that the surgery is so close I won't notice lol.

Double posted.

lid--any reason why you didn't share it with those closest to you? Do you have someone to help you home after surgery?

I will be taking an Uber. I guess I’m just very embarrassed and ashamed it has come to this. Also, I don’t think anyone in my life would understand. Literally my whole family is skinny. I suffer from anxiety and having this major surgery is weighing heavy on me. I keep thinking something might go wrong at the operating table
Don’t really know how to use this app but if anyone is comfortable private messaging me, I would really appreciate it, I would love to text someone about all my worries

Hi, all. I've announced my date before, but as a reminder--I will be on February 25, probably the latest in the February group. My liquid diet will start on February 11, and my surgeon said I will be in the hospital for one night. I'm excited and apprehensive--I just want it over with at this point.

Nah I still expect someone to be on February 28th, they just haven't showed up yet. I thought I was the only September 5th when I started the September 2018 Surgeries and Success thread yet 5 or 6 showed up. Don't give up hope, I'm sure there will be a February 27-28,yet , in the meantime you can watch, the earlier people, see if there is anything from their experiences you can use for your Good. You do pick up the tools on here.
