Surgery is Nov. 5th and today started the Pre-Op Diet

So, surgery is scheduled for Nov. 5th and I am super excited. I’ve been nowhere near as nervous as I thought I would be - however, I’ve had a rough first day of the Pre-Op Diet. I’ve eaten and drunk exactly what I was supposed to, but have felt hungry all day. At first, I thought it was mostly mental, but as the day has gone on - my stomach has been pretty noisy. Does this get any better. I hope it does. Can anyone who is or has been on the diet share your experience? Thank you!

Way to go! Day one. It is tough but really try to stick to it. Pre op is so important. You want your liver as healthy as possible plus you will get a good start on your weight loss. Get lots of rest and keep focused on why you are doing this. Keep reading encouraging stories of success and check out pictures of before and after. You can do this!!! I am 2 months post op and down 33 lbs. Feels so good ?

I started pre-op today for surgery on 11/1, so I am right there with you! It's 3pm and I have one shake left I can have today. Gotta do this! I'm hungry, but I am taking sips of water constantly and it helps a bit. Chewing gum is also helpful... just don't swallow it. lol.

I though a 2 week pre op diet was bad but it looks like you have 3 weeks so I guess I better count my blessings. I'm having surgery the day after you. I start mine on Tuesday. Good luck to you!
