@Malcy and @Badwolf523 how is the pre op diet going for you two? I’ve heard that only the first or second day is hard then you just get used to it.

Cool! Unfortunately it's still two whole weeks away! It's going to be a long couple of weeks :(

For me the first three days were good. When I got to the forth I wanted to die. I’m not the biggest fan of sweets so the sweetness of the Protein Shakes make me sick. Thank god incan have broth. I only have 5 days left.

My surgery is August 7, I was doing so good on the pre op diet, mine was 2 weeks, shrink the liver. I went out of town this weekend by plane, and could not bring my Protein Shakes on plane. I messed up at dinner, I am realizing how hard it is to plan if you go away. I do great at home. I am even more nervous now, can I do this? It’s not about the eating it’s the planning. Is it because I am new to having to plan? This will be the new way.

I didn’t rent a car this trip because the trip is so short so the walking distance grocery market had not much in the fat free department

I'm on August 2nd and can't wait. Starting to get a little nervous

So my gastric sleeve is scheduled for August 1st. my husband and I are driving to Texas the day before and surgery is in the very early morning. I am getting very nervous. I only been doing a 7 week pre op diet because the first week of preop I was bad girl. I thought it would be my last time eating my favorite foods and I ended up gaining 4 pounds. But wls is not the end of the road for eating your favorite foods. I figured that out on my own and I began my preop late but the big thing I started it and I lost a little weight. The most important thing is making sure my liver has been shrinking and with the little weight loss, I am sure it has shrunk. it does not take long for that.

I know you are nervous, as I am, it is going to be a great journey, youre going to get your life back. We got this chica!!!

How has your pre op diet been going? As you previously read, my sucked but I hoped back on the band wagon and my surgery is on 3 days omg!!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
