Went through the trouble of fixing this salad and logging the items in MFP, but then lost interest in wanting to eat it when I was done (i was hungry before i started making it, I swear! Anyone else find this happens to them? Its a regular occurrence for me).

Anyway, its going in the fridge for now and maybe i’ll eat it later. (unless someone in the fam usurps it before I get around to wanting it).

Romaine, carrots, cucumbers, feta, pan fried chicken chunks, and about 1/4 cup of leftover crustless quiche: 251 calories.

Full disclosure: i opted for a martini instead: 141 calories (not shown).

I think it's the same as a gyro. They call them doeners in Turkey and gyros in Greece.

well, I just googled it and I stand corrected. There are some slight differences (doener is spelled "doner" in Turkey - but I think there's a umlaut over the "o" (or some other symbol), so you sometimes see it spelled doener in other languages). But for practical purposes, they call similar sandwiches doners in some countries in gyros in others. People are usually referring to the same type of sandwich.

(1 egg) cheese omelette, (traditional) cheese biscuit & mini peppers - I only ate about half so ~110 for the peppers& omelette but no log entry for the biscuit because I need to build the recipe first (too much work)

My fridge is becoming a graveyard of partially eaten bowls of food and mini containers holding what Mr. calls "crumbs" of leftovers that I save for later.

Its messing with my MFP food tracking cuz I log it for one day but then eat it over 2-3 days. Arg.

I hear you! I found a bowl with a couple of spoons of rolled oats I couldn’t eat in my fridge this morning. I put it on a lower shelf in the fridge two days ago & forgot. It was all crusty - not appetising at all.

Cold snowy weather calls for warm dishes so last nights dinner was estofado de res aka beef stew. Used my fiancé’s plate for the pic since mines was in a little bowl. Don’t mind the lighting, I tried to get fancy lol

For scale this is a 4oz ramekin. Cottage cheese, slivered ham and pizza sauce all mixed and topped with buratta. Baked until melted and toasty. Very filling. Ate 3/4 of it

Yum!! I love chaffles but with only a Belgium waffle maker, they don't look as pretty. Which recipe did you use?

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
