It is crazy! I wouldn't touch cottage cheese for 30 something years then all of a sudden (after surgery & after a hospitalization)I I'm buying it like it's ice cream, while ice cream is sitting in my freezer😂😂😂😂😥😥😥😥😎😎

Bahahahahaha! Well, I don't know, do you pimp out your ice cream with all the lovely healthy, beguiling stuff you put on your cottage cheese? ?? :) I want to rent your cottage cheese bowls by the hour they look so come-hither! :D But yeah, I totally get it! I'd rather have my cc/yog concoctions than a bowl of ice cream too. And it started the very day after surgery! It's not that I don't get cravings for behaving cravenly. It's just that for the most part, I truly desire clean food. Sounds and looks like you do too! Thanks for this thread girlie and for the inspirations!!

Last night I tried cauliflower gnocchi and it so hit my gnocchi craving. It was the Trader Joe’s frozen gnocchi. I added cooked chicken breast some pesto, delicate squash and mushroom all topped with some fresh chèvre. I’m finally a convert to sheet tray cooking. Granted I now have enough food for like 6 meals but it was so tasty. I’ll take a pic for when I dive into the left overs...

Hahaha, so funny @FluffyChix because Im so food lazy, I'm literally throwing things together before I fall out the door.

I truly never liked ice cream (cold aversion, to the point of hives) so that may have helped but I just want the best tasting foods and they seem to almost always be cleaner, purer ingredients IMHO ( @sillykittylike Gelato in italy... But I'm in no danger here lol) so once like kicked my sugar addiction for good , I found I could taste things better🎉

Just you wait until I move in!!!

You'll never have to worry about me stealing your green smoothies! The lamb leftovers would be in serious danger though!

I have this in my freezer!

Honest though, how much like cauliflower does it taste like? I love Gnocchi, but hate cauliflower, so I'm wary!

So weird how we crave new stuff after the surgery. I ate rich food all weekend and felt truly AWFUL after every meal--like "I gotta lay down for a couple hours awful..." And now the only things that sound good today are things like lean white fish, shrimp, chicken broth, shrimp, white fish...lol...cauliflower rice. These are the only things I know I can eat that won't make me feel like I wanna hurl afterward!

This is not my experience, and I don't know if I'm grateful or resentful!

I can literally eat anything, nothing makes me feel ill, at all.

If I wasn't so embarrassed, I'd post my MFP log from last week when I was at a trade show. It was literal junk food for 3 days straight. I was 100% fine and loved every bite

Honestly not that much. Wayyy less than cauliflower Pizza Crust. The pesto helped too as it’s a strong flavor. I also made sure I ate a bite with something else (the squash, mushrooms, chèvre or chicken). And to be honest I had like maybe 5 of them in my entire meal as my focus was more chicken and veggies.

Ok, good to know, thanks!

Maybe I'll actually be home at some point, and I won't be so scared of it. I'm still traumatized by the cauliflower rice I kept reading didn't taste like cauliflower. Lies!

Definitely a double edge sword! In the middle of a self inflicted stall, not hard to understand why!

I swear I know this is a Bariatric food forum, not Flyertalk . But when traveling, I rarely eat alone except at the airport or on the plane. Not like I can really take pics at a business dinner. And at home I only serve what I know I can eat, so I have no after pics.

My Breakfast. It’s one egg and turkey sausage link mixed in. I’ve been really struggling with eating breakfast but my team is insisting I get better at it.

Looks delicious. Why is your team insistent on you eating breakfast though?

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
