best soups & brands you have tried..

Hi,

I will be in the States soon just before my RNY surgery. I need to stock up on things to make the first few months easier. When the weather cools down, I am a big soup lover. I have seen several brands incl Unjury (somebody already raved about this one) and BariatricPal. I obviously won't be trying them whilst in NY in peak summer so need to rely on your helpful opinions of which ones to order.

Any other really good tips on what to order (am getting vitamin patches I think). Have a good protein shake already. Many thanks

I made most of mine from scratch (not all ingredients) but by using my Vitamix blender. You can actually use their recipes on their website without a Vitamix, by cooking the veggies on the stove top and blending them smooth in a regular blender. They have some excellent soup recipes. I highly, highly recommend their Harvest Cheddar soup. Remember, you can always add unflavored protein powder to any soup to increase the nutritional benefit.

I have liked several of the soups here on Bariatric Pal. I particularly like the Beef Vegetable, Chicken w Pasta and the Vegan Lentil
