I'm a week post body lift/tummy tuck. I am feeling pretty good. The pain was intense for the first few days. I have four drains in and still fill them up with fluid. I expect them to be in for a few weeks at least. The results so far are amazing, though. They took off 15 lbs of skin/fat. All insurance covered. I'll be looking at an arm lift in about 6-8 weeks.

Congratulations. I am a few weeks older in post op than you but I do remember the pain still. A good reminder so I never stray back

Congratulations! Why did insurance pay for it if you feel comfortable answering? Most see it as cosmetic and will not pay.

Hello there, the insurance pays for it because of the complications you get from the extra skin. You can get rashes and fungus up under the skin sores and infections. My doctor said that it's the way you word it when you send in for your insurance approval. I had my surgery on May 29th and I must say it is painful. I'm in so much pain. But I have no regrets. Most of the pain come from getting up and down off the toilet and in and out the chairs. I've been sleeping in a recliner. I haven't laid down in my bed yet.
