  2. You can do it, involve trusted people to support you, make yourself and health a priority. Surgery only does it’s part, you do have the strength to do your part. Hang in there!
  3. Congratulations! Why did insurance pay for it if you feel comfortable answering? Most see it as cosmetic and will not pay.
  4. I am continuing my workouts and after a week or so I have begun to lose again! Thanks for the support. I started at 313 before pre-surgery diet, surgery 4/4/18 and as of today am down to 259!
  5. Sometimes people lose hair from the stress to the body and then it’s over.
  6. My program is 80 of protein for females and 90 for males. I have not lost hair. I started taking Biotin a month before surgery and now that I am seven weeks post I take my supplements including the Biotin to be sure. I take Opurity vitamin daily, Calcium Citrate twice daily and Biotin once daily.
  7. Switch it up. I never was a sweets person so CalStat was high protein and low volume. I put it in 2-3 oz of Tazo passion tea and it was bliss! Your tastebuds have changed.
  8. You are doing a great job! Fluids, protein and exercise!
  9. I believe it is 4-6 weeks depending on your surgeon but still get up every hour and pump your legs back and forth while seated.

  11. If you are working out with cardio and strength training there is also muscle mass being built. More importantly is the fit of your clothes, how you feel and your body analysis. Keep strong!

  14. Trust your physician and if you don’t, find one you do. They will do lab work and the same surgery clearances they would for anyone with your medical condition(s). Be weary of medical advice from strangers, WebMD and the doom and gloom stories.
