Are you sensitive to the artificial sweeteners? Maybe you could try another brand.

Hope you feel better.

Can the headache be from caffeine withdrawal? That's a bear if you haven't weaned yourself off caffeine already.

Yea the preop diet sucks - you get to see and feel all the things you are addicted too and it is not a fun time.

It gets so much better, so chin up and stay strong, we all looked forward to hearing from you on the other side.

The strained Soup trick will serve you well post op also.

Hang in there. Day 2 was the worse for me and I had a huge headache, was nauseous and seriously tired. Today is day 3 and I am much better. The hardest thing for me now is not reaching for comfort food. It's years of bad habits so it will take time to change. PS do not give up. You are too precious and are worth it 🤗

End of day 6. No more headaches, but pretty physically weak, not totally mentally there (like in a fog) and tired. I was cleaning the bathroom today and actually had to sit down a couple times because I was worn out. I was head hungry today (again) but caught it and had a bottle of Water. Boom! Not hungry. I have shortened my work days because there’s no way I’ll be working 13 hour days running around all day (I run an escape room) and I don’t want to mess anything up since it’s a super heavy pay constant attention to EVERYTHING job. But for all that, I do feel good. I don’t want to grab anyone’s lunch anymore Plus I’m down 7 pounds so far.
I’ve got the endoscopy tomorrow and have NO IDEA what that’s going to be like, so I’m definitely taking my anxiety and sleep meds tonight and zonking out soon. I have to be there at 7 am for an 8 am appointment which means I’ve got to leave at 6:15.
All in all, it’s MUCH better than day 1 or 2. Hang in there! We can do this!

Okay day 3 and my headache is only mild and bearable; no other symptoms today plus down 2.5lbs....yay! Yesterday was the worst! Thanks to everyone for all the encouragement and advice. Definitely making my way to the store tonight for sugar free popsicles and Soup to strain.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
